V1 hardwire
Anyone knows what color wire exactly to tap for 09 335i coupe when hardwiring your v1 ? I know depending on year and model the wire can be different so I don't want to tap the wrong one and have problem with my sunroof like some of the comments. The DIY on here is a different piggybacking method.

I can't remember the color I used exactly, but I used this method: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97545 mostly. The only change for me is I didn't use the soldering(didn't have the equipment), and I unscrewed the visor and headliner so I didn't have to worm my fingers into a tight space and worry I would bend it. See my post here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=110.
Doing this required no taping, i.e. the vampire clip went unused. I liked this better for the reasons you're experiencing, and because the vampire clip isn't a snug fit. Hope this helps. |
