Just wondering what products people are using to clean there cars with and also what products should you use to stop or get rid of swirl marks?
There are so many products out in the US but we only seem to have Meguirs car cleaning products here or Auto Glym. |

Go to www.waxit.com.au Based in Brisbane and David is a real nice guy who will take the time to listen to your needs and offer unbiased information on all the products he sells. Ex or now part time detailer and carries all the high end brands from Swisvax to Poorboys.
I use P21S but I also use a Pinnicle detailer wax in between waxes. David list his phone number on the website if you prefer to speak on the phone. |

tintin: i hadn't actually decided what car i was going to get back then....i was considering either an e90/e92 or a TT and that's why i was trawling the forums to make a decision..... but then we went and bought an apartment instead and i stopped thinking abt buying a car...and disappeared for a while but then i kinda got really sick of my little MINI and so i figured i'd get a new car. didn't want to spend so much anymore so i started looking at cheaper options. the 1 series started to look good price wise but then one of my mates suggested i go and try a GTI/R32 as he had just bought one and they were good value for money....well i did and surprisingly i liked it (even though i didn't think i would) and i figured i'd be getting the same engine and transmission (plus the very cool flat bottomed steering wheel!! ) as the TT i wanted but in a much cheaper package...and as long as i got all the bells and whistles it should keep be happy for a while till i probably get another bmw....but i'll probably want something like a z4 coupe or something by then.....we'll see what happens anyway sorry to bore everybody with that but u asked for the story so i thought i'd give it to u....hey it's REALLY early and there's nobody else to talk to and i'm bored ok? peace

Quite frankly it's been driving me nuts (in a good way i guess), one day i want the Audi TTS roadster, the next a Porsche Boxster (or Boxster S), then a Cayman S, followed up the upcoming Z4, so many pro's & con's to each & every one of them. Anyhow since i can't make a definite call at the moment, i'm just going to sit on what i've got until i'm 99% sure which car is the best one for me then make the move.

Heheh, and as for the magazine scan, I haven't been home in like a week, so I have not had access to the magazine or the scanner!

Thanks, i don't see any bias there, i honestly think that the Porsches are a tad classier than the TTS or Z4, plus they hold their value better.

i totally agree....go for a porsche...if i could i'd choose the cayman S out of ur list although the prices aren't that far apart, i'd say they are in a totally different league with the others. my opinion only of course

I did want it...
As i've always had a taste for high end mobiles... but i think i'm over them. I've got the work blackberry i've got to carry around and so now i REALLY hate mobile phones (in all forms). Not to mention the 3 ipods i've already got lying around the place. (one old useless one, the nano for everyday use and the new shuffle for running as it's virtually weightless). So i think my next phone will be the slimmest simplest (read practical/function) thing i can get thats value for money.

I wasn't, and then the announcement of the Exchange integration hooked me in. My Moto Q9h is giving me the shits and won't play nice with my car's bluetooth. I have read that the iPhone works well with BMW's system.
Right now I have a big black BlueAnt box suckered onto my visor in order to be able to use my phone in my car. I hear you about the Crackberry 24x7 working thing though

The novelty of mobiles has well & truly worn off over the last 10+years... In all honesty, I don't want a phone that sync's with a car, actually i'd love it if someone made a phone that did not work at all whilst in a car, as it's the last thing i'm interested in doing whilst driving.

Pffft!
Personally i think there is too many distractions in cars these days already. Plus when most calls are work related, do you really want them to interrupt a drive?

i guess that's why it's illegal to use ur phone while ur driving...but since when has that stopped ppl? and another annoying thing, file transfer doesn't exist on this phone....the bluetooth is just for headsets and nothing else.

I've always been a beleiver in the simpler the better. I was offered a Blackberry by my company but I rejected it. I make and receive a lot of calls while I'm in the car so I currently have the Motorola K1 as it syncs with my car perfectly.
As for the iphone I think its just too gimmicy. Think KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) Email = computer Music = ipod Telephone calls = mobile |
