Bulb Warning - But no bulbs out?

Had the bulb warning popup on my car earlier so I checked all the lights when I got home and they all seem to be working.

Checked all fogs, xenons, brake lights, indicators and sidelights. Restarted the car and the warning is still there.

The only lighting change I have made to my car is the BMS LED angel eyes, they are both working still but is it possible something in them has malfunctioned in them?

The manual states that the symbol of the lightbulb is an EXTERNAL light fault. Is there another symbol that indicates an interior light has bust?

Had the same problem - see link:

I'm guessing one of your bulbs is on it's way out, you need to get out of the car when the warning 1st shows, if possible, to try and spot which bulb it might be.

Good Luck

With mine the warning is there but all bulbs are still on.

I will try swapping out my LED bulbs for the gp thunders and see if that fixes it. I supose it would be a warranty return if they start flagging up errors.

I remember the days when there was one bulb in a car's stop light but nowadays there is a set. So the same thing happened to me and when the dealer did an electronic key check on their system it showed one of the bulbs had blown. Certainly a nuisance when the warning light comes on but the set means that you're not left with one stop light when driving.

The plot thickens!

The error has now cleared and on the last four trips I've not heard any bongs. I'm guessing it's as you said, something on its way out.

Either that or a dodgy rear cluster - mine did it for months and then stopped randomly a few weeks ago. If it happens again get the code to narrow it down and check the contacts of all the bulbs, if it IS a rear one and they are all working fine then it should get a new cluster from dealer as it's a known issue

I'm out of warranty so it would be at my cost I'm guessing.

I think it's just as likely to be an issue with the LED angel eye bulbs I installed, the problem hasn't returned but if it does i may put the bulbs back in.

Corroded contacts can give intermittent failure warnings.

If it was the cluster issue it wouldn't matter that you were out of warranty as it's a known defect and there is now a re-manufactured part which is a more secure fit.

Saying that I believe it's only about £20 to buy the part yourself from memory
