Anyone running these on their cars? Thinking about getting these rotors along with hawks HPS and ECS stainless steel lines.

Currently running their front slotted ones for about a month now and they're holding up great. They don't seem to rust like the oems, even on the contact areas. I ordered rears too but they didn't fit so make sure they have ones that really do fit. They just refunded me and never asked for them back. I got the rears from R1 Concepts.

How are the R1 compared to the ECS rotors

Just get Zimmermann rotors. They won't rust either and they are OEM brand manufacturer.

Running Zimmerman rotors at the moment. No rust issues whatsoever.

I think that has to do more with the pads than the rotors unless you go full BBK. I went with ceramic pads so the initial bite like the oem pads is greatly reduce. You'll definitely feel less confident in your stopping power but after a week or two you'll get use to it. Also a lot less brake dust with these pads.

Oh I need confident pads, especially around tight corners near a cliff. Anyone chime on reliable pads? Not worried about dust.

I have the Zimmermans as well. Put them on with Hawk HPS pads. I believe the rotors are coated with zinc, in other words, galvanized. No rust yet, but they have also not been through a winter. However they were visually identical to the OEM rotors removed (which showed no signs of rust on the hat either), so I am confident the OEM rotors were Zimmerman as well. The only difference was the roundel. The stampings for minimum disc thickness were so similar, it looked like it had come off the same production line (probably because they did).

The initial bite is reduced, obviously because the HPS pads are ceramic and not semi-metallic. However, I don't really like high levels of initial bite. I prefer a linear pedal feel and these pads are great for that. Obviously if you stomp on the pedal, the car stops - quickly. The dust is less than half as bad as it was with the stock pads. After two weeks it is just noticeable if you are standing next to the car.

I used the HPS pads on another car as well and I only put one set on in three years. The car was totaled, and the pads still had plenty of life left. I estimate that I drove about 40,000 miles in that time. I drove that car hard, and never had fade problems, however it was never tracked.

The Hawk pads are damn good. They just feel different than the stock pads, so they take getting used to, but it is just psychological. Mechanically the car will stop, very well.

I installed the rotors over the weekend. On a scale 1 to 10 for the install 1 being easy and 10 being professional mechanic. This install was a 4 to 5. Here are the pics.

-ECS Geomet Drilled Rotors (rear)
-Red stuff pads

A fair review, price is great & fast shipping. I just installed them so quality or use is not going to be very accurate. Coming from brake pads and rotors that were installed 75K ago these are far better and great response. So definately recommend these. I will be doing the front in the next coming months.

Zimmerman ZCoat rotors have a coating which is designed to protect against rust. They also make non coated rotors, these may have been what you where using.

EBC RedStuffs and Hawk HPS are two of our most popular pads. You're brake feel will change a bit compared to the factory pad, initial bite feel is the main difference. What you gain is a more predicable pad with a better friction compound, that happens to also dust less than stock. They are reliable, predicable, and slow to fade all around both are great pads.

I just installed ESC Geomet front slotted rotors with cool carbon brake pads, I love the look and they bite really nice when applying heavy braking. I would definitely recommend these.
