i really like how its turning out. i think if the outer dtm style angel eye was taller it wouldnt look so sleepy. Nice work on stepping outside the box from cookie cutter cars.

i got lucky with the hood. A guy was selling it on ebay. He make custom made stuff for companies. Apparently he made this for a company in germany but that company bailed on him. i can say this hook is one of a kind.

and he jsut stared at it and was like.. what did u do? that was good thing cause i don't want my mods to stand out like a sore thumb. i know a widebody coversion isn't exactly subtle.. but its not overdone to the point that anyone can say it not oem. every non e9x i ve met think my car is like that from the factory.

Damn those square halos are sick! I wonder if OSS and the like can offer something with square bottoms in the future since that's what it seems like BMW is doing now across the board

get a shop to refine the lines on the widebody around the curve on the wheel well and you will have what some shops charge $10-15k in paint and body work for.
The right way would be to cut the metal, stretch and then weld in the 'wider' panels and sand, weld and bondo, etc. Either way its your ride. As long as you're happy thats all that matters. |

I love checking back in on this thread, but it would be great if youd start a new one with the progress pics all grouped in at the beginning so it doesnt take a dick year to go thru

bro, been trough every page and I gotta tell you, your dedication and hard work really fuels us enthusiasts that like to think out of the box. It's a shame that there are so many haters out there but, if u look closely, every page that goes by there are less stupid comments in your thread which is a unspoken big pro to your cool results. please let us know if you are finishing the x6 rear end, We have your back whatever u decide.
still I gotta tell u, there's people who only give pros when they see a photoshoot and watch that everybody nod but can't decide on their own if they are to like or not without other people's prior approval. for example, the m5 bumper on the e92 is a mod everybody liked but I am sure that if someone did it on his own and showing the process, like you are, the haters would have a fest day. I really hate that hypocrisy from those narrowminded "enthusiasts" that think that anything that isn't made by bmw themselves is bad looking and in bad taste. anyways, keep up the good work my mate
