I dropped my European Delivery 335i off at the Munich airport location for transport to Bremerhaven last Thursday, May 12. Since getting home, I signed up for 'My BMW' and went to the 'My BMW Overview' page. It does not show any links or information to 'track my BMW'. I called the 1-800 number tonight and entered my VIN. The automated attendant stated that my car was 'in transit' and that I should contact my dealer for more info.
What gives?

Best bet would be to contact your CA for information on whether it is on a boat and if so, which boat it got on. My car took about 3 weeks from Geneva to get on a boat, but I know Munich has higher priority than outside Germany dropoff locations.
If you log into My BMW Overview, you have to add your vehicle. There is an "Add a Vehicle" link on the left side, and then once you go there, add your VIN or production number. Once you add the vehicle you can click on "Track your BMW" to see its' status.

I did check the WW line website and my car hasn't shown up at Bremerhaven yet. For those of you who dropped your European Delivery car off in Munich, how long did it take for the car to get on the ship to the East coast?

Try removing your car and use the production number instead. That might trigger it... not really sure why it doesn't show up. the website isn't that accurate anyways.

Update: I dropped the car off at the Munich airport on May 12 and it was to be picked up the next day. As of May 24 it's not showing up on the shipper's website and BMW's last update was my pickup at the BMW Welt. I asked the CA today if perhaps they were using it to deliver pizzas, which got a chuckle. He's a good guy and has been very helpful, but the rest of the organization seems to be kind of slack.

I was going to look at it on WW's site but it doesn't look like what was described in previous threads. Edit: Doesn't seem to work in Chrome, but in IE you just plug your VIN in as the Cargo ID and you've got your ETA NY June 2nd, GA June 6th, SC June 7th. And then you get to wait for it to clear customs

Was your car the one parked behind the Volvo SUV in this photo?
All of the cars in this line except mine (white 335i on the end) were picked up later that day for transport to Bremerhaven. Mine was supposed to get picked up the next day. Quote:

Heehee, I think that's it hiding back there. I know I parked it on the near side of the pylon. I wonder if that Volvo belongs to a coworker of mine that I heard had just done ED of one?
What a cruel wait this is...

Just to show how arbitrary the process is, I dropped my car off 5 hours later than My5UV did at the same spot on May 12 per the posts above. His car makes it aboard the Otello on May 18, which docks in Brunswick on June 6. My car not only missed the Otello, but at least one more ship (Porgy) and finally made it on the Integrity on May 27 (today). It sails on May 29 and will reach Brunswick on June 15. So, 5 hours = 9 days later shipment. Go figure.

Does anyone know if a ship either departed from or arrived at Bremerhaven yesterday (06/01)? I fear I might have just missed a ship as I see the next one (Falstaff) arrives 06/08. I guess the ships do sit at port for a day or two while they are loaded but I havent been able to figure out hot to find out when a ship has arrived after the date it may have arrived.

IF you find out the boat name (from your dealership) you can track the boat... It will show you where it has been and where it will be going!!!

If you're east coast and you have your VIN you can use that as the cargo ID on WW's website to find the ship name and itinerary. But it seems to update a day or two late so the car could be at sea and you won't know it yet.

Customs Delay !!
Need Help from the experts on this thread....
Did ED 5.24.11. Drop-off Frankfurt 5.30.11 Bremerhaven within few days after dropoff (Missed boat 6.8.11) (Missed boat 6.15.11) Loaded onto "Otello" 6.22.11 (3 weeks after dropoff) Arrived NY/NJ Port 7.6.11 (5 weeks after dropoff) Now just sitting in Customs. (tomorrow will be three weeks in Customs) I was supposed to do PCD Re-delivery today, but had to cancel and change my plans. Any thoughts on what may be happening? I should also mention that another couple who we befriended did same pick-up day and drop-off day in Frankfurt. Their car arrived in NY/NJ before ours left Bremerhaven!?!?! I figured things get busy, no big deal. But now three weeks in customs ?!?!?!?!

I guess you shouldn't have tried to smuggle all those Kinder Eggs into the country in the spare tire. Is it really still in customs, or could it actually be at the VPC getting some shipping damage repaired? What does your CA have to say?

The Perf Center had me pencilled in (yes, that's not typically, but my dealer I guess has an excellent relationship with them - he does tons of ED). Just spoke with them all today. Still clearing customs.

Man that sucks. Hope it all works out for the best eventually. It's definitely a good time and don't forget to wander outside promptly after lunch to get a hot lap with the instructors in an M5. The folks in my group that were on the ball got out there early and worked in two :-)
Sadly, they wouldn't let me take my new M3 onto the skidpad by myself, but 1200 miles of scenic and twisty back roads made up for it. One word of warning about the Blue Ridge Parkway... there are NO passing zones anywhere on it. I guess that's their way of keeping traffic slow.
