When I needed a new windscreen on my E46 I tried to avoid using autoglass and paying £70 excess because it is still classed as a claim, even if they do a job for free! Found out that a new windscreen can cost upwards of £800... I had to sit my ass down and just pay the excess. I'm scared to see how much BMW would ask for. |

How is this done?
On another note, not sure if related..I can hear the motor when I put the fan speed up to max or close to max... it's going in for a regular service next month so will ask but wanted to know if there's going be a cheaper solution in case BMW charge a hefty price for next to nothing lol. |

I currently have the silver trim, and would love to have the Piano black. Is this a simple thing to do? As yours looks amazing! |

It's really simple if you take your time. All you do is remove your trim How to remove interior trim Apply vinyl to the trim using a hair dryer to to heat up the vinyl to stretch it around curved. Then, trim off any excess with a craft knife. I was recommended to use 3m vinyl because it's good quality and is perforated so it doesn't leave any air bubbles. Vinyl can be bought on eBay but I bought mine from metrorestyling.com which is in the USA. It cost me £36 delivered including the craft knife. Type vinyl wrapping tutorial into YouTube. It's easy. |
