kinda defeats the purpose of buying an is. It will work like any n54 engine...i.e. AWESOME.

you're paying for some suspension, body, wheels, a radiator, and badges. All of which if you were going to tune w/ vish or anyone, you could do for much less than 7k.

I own an is...coming from a car which i tuned EVERYTHING. I wanted a car that I just wouldn't tweak.

To each his own. just seems like a waste of money up front to get a 335is and then tune it.

He will also be paying for a superior transmission ie the DCT. Although I disagree with his choice of tune, I would rather him go with Cobb, and preven RENNtech, he will get more gains out of the N54 DCT ie the 335is than any other N54 car period.

I have demonstrated this proof many times. Even if we could afford a GTR we would still be tempted to tune it.

That's you.

I don't like the look of the non is lci coupe so this was the only option. Your point is kinda moot considering this is an enthusiast based forum. Its a 335 not a 458 Italia we are talkin about here.

I'm doing coilovers, dps and bbs LM dbk with Potenza RE11s the first week and using the stock 19s as my winters.. hope that's okay

The extra cooling is great. LSD, AST+Swift, M3 bits and you are good to go.

Checking in with my 2 cents. The procede is AWESOME no other word for it. Ive put it in and taken it out a few times already and never had a problem. Just a few easy steps. Ive also gone to the dealer with it in on map 0 and they didnt even see it (not that im aware of at least).

Dont get me wrong the IS is nice stock but you cant even imagine how much better the car feels with it in. Switching between maps and modes for the gauges is seamless. It makes the exhaust sound even better. The procede is nothing short of amazing. I still have the rev2 because it so nice i just dont see the point of upgrading but i read and heard nothing but good things about rev2.5 and rev3.

Do your research to see what best suites you but i HIGHLY and i mean HIGHLY recommend the procede.

If all goes to plan, I'm picking up a 335i N54 M/T this weekend! From everything I've read, it seems like the PROcede is the best tuning option out there. My concerns really boil down to protecting my investment, smoothness of power delivery and of course, raw power! Almost unanimously, comparative reviews give the nod to Vishnu in all of these categories. Shiv has been doing this the longest and has the most experience. Lastly Vishnu is the only tuner that has adapted a single turbo to this platform putting out BIG numbers. In my humble opinion, I'd say go with the innovator who seems to be always one step ahead. All the other guys are playing catch up.

Since you're also considering Cobb, I would recommend reading this:

Why not JB4?

I am interested to see what everyone says. I also have an iS and I am on the fence between PROcede and Cobb.

Subscribing.
What would the downsides of a JB4 tune be with a lease?

I went with the 335is for the DCT. Loved it in a Z4 35i.

Where do I look for an LSD? Not a big deal stock, but may be with more HP.

You might want to throw the JB4 with IS/1M specific settings into the to think about mix.

Car developed 365whp on a Dynojet with 94 octane & a stock FMIC on Map2 with a 14psi boost level last fall on the old firmware. The new setup should pickup a few more WHP with a stronger mid range. No dyno yet, just did the update but the change is enough to feel seat of the pants & speed to distance at a place I run quick & dirty tests.

A stock IS on the prior firmware could not run this level of boost with out using Map 7 with race gas.

Hey thanks for the reply. How difficult is it to change boost levels? I have no experience with this stuff at all.
Lately I have been leaning towards, Cobb AP Stage 2+FMIC.
