Bmw e91 2006 basic stereo uppgrade
Hello. Im new on this forum and i hope for some advise on stereo uppgrade.
I have the stock basic system with 6 speakers and proff HU. But now i want 9 speakers including the center speaker. So i need tecnical harness ? where to buy ? and maybe dsp? or recoding the HU ?. I have read many topic"s on uppgrading the stereo. But i cant find all info i want. I need the steel ring every one have?the one in the front doors Where to buy? Ms-8 or bit one audioson ? If i buy the earthquake 8" do they need spacers under the seet? Or is it only the kiker and others that need that? When i buy the technical harness does it mount easy? Regards max |

I did an install in an 06 e91 and documented it.
Most of what you need to know is in this
link. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 If you go to the above thread an look at entry 4 you will find this CTuna's HiFi Install DIY w MusicarNW Kit My E91 VP Kit install.pdf I know you said you have a base system but it may be of some use. The MusicarNW kits contain everything you need to install the system. But they may be hard to get in Norway. Last edited by ctuna; 12-30-2012 at 09:04 PM.. |

I don't think anybody makes the mount rings
I don't think anybody makes the mount rings anymore.(that sells them
a la cart) You can get them in a VP Kit but he doesn't sell them separately anymore. Which means you have to Fab them yourself . I think Mob 17 just went through this maybe he has a template. So Technic are you making the rings now? |

Ok. Do you have the mount rings to the front and back, 2 pair? And your harness is completed with all i need? Do i need some more if i"m going to change the speakers?
And in your kit, are there som wire for the center also? |

The mounting rings that I sell are in plastic. You would need at least a pair for the front speakers. I can provide the center channel cable and OEM trim as well.

hi all, sorry to jump on this conversation but I'm not sure where to post as i am also new to the forum and also have the same problem as alot of the other users and it is the relly poor sound system in my e91 msport, i had an e46 330i msport with harman kardon hifi which was awsome compared to what i have now, so i was after some advice and where to get the parts from and useful tips, ino the subject has been covered loads and must be getting boring but its seems abit hard to get decent advice so any would be great espcially on the harness part of the side. thanks.

It is very tiresome to be repeating the same tips and notes especially when there are plenty of threads explaining all those in detail. |

No problem, I understand its abit frustrating, I've been through most of them now and have got a good understanding of what I want to do, it does seem to be the same old question tho and that's getting the rite harness.
