but from doing my research and lots of testing. Doing a muffler delete u lose HP and the injen intake didnt really help much eather i got a nice exhaust system now put my factory box back on and wow so made a world of a diff. going to dyno next month hoping to brake 230 hp and 230tq. with one more secret mod lol
I was calling BS until I saw that you had a 330 ahah.

BTW, you made a topic about your not so secret mod You should reach 230 easy even without that mod. In fact, I would be more curious to see dynos with that mod and without it and I would bet money that you lose HP with it; 1 maybe 2 tops, but I dont think it will GET you some HP. But that's just my opinion based on nothing credible but my own thoughts.

Well my goal is to sit 10 hp shy of 250HP or maybe hit 250.

Well as it sits now im pretty sure i picked up a few with a nice exhaust system and my factory modded box back on. And as far as my not so secret mod why would u think ide lose 1-2 hp and not gain any?

I ve contacted another member on here and he sent me dyno read outs a/f logs for the dyno with the same mod im gonna do.
And he picked up 13hp but lost 8tq so in my case i put my 2ndary cats back on ran dule res's to a magnaflow muffler all keeping the piping 2.25 to try and maintain a good ammount of back pressure since ill be losing alot.

I also spoke to AA about the off road tune and not only dose it run the o2's in loop to act as a sims. But it also dose a whole reflash plays with timing ext ext.

You cant really get benefits from creating a leak from a sealed environnement. But I will wait to see more about your projects; right now i'm just trying to figure it out in my head.

I dont consider a muffler delete as a mod; so I cant really tell.

Some people say that MD makes you lose HP. Most of them put their exhaust back on from what I see on the forum. And the guy that made me try his MD wanted to buy the PE the second he heard mine

But i've never seen any before / after dyno for a MD. Would be curious to see one.

I had a question about some of the parts involved with the manifold install. I managed to get a used intake manifold that included both DISA actuators, vent hose, and oil separator. Looking at the part list for the manifold install, do I need to buy these parts if the actuators are already installed?

11617535849 x5 Screw 50x20
11617535850 x2 Screw 50x35
11617535851 x1 Screw 50x66

No, those screws hold the actuator to the manifold. If you have a manifold with the actuators installed you don't need the screws.

Thanks for the reply! Good news is that I don't have to buy the screws, bad news was that as I was checking out the oil separator and vent hose, it snapped in half! Doh! Guess I'll need to buy a new one along with the gasket set.

Yup. If you look at that hose wrong it breaks. BMW makes the engine out of exotic materials but the cheapest rubber for the hoses.

I've taken pictures and notes for the installation. I'll work on creating the DIY in the next 2 weeks when I go on vacation.

I can't believe that none of the sponsors or anyone at all bought these things in bulk and is selling them as a full kit...

We've got people trying to SC the car and there is a "bolt on OEM" 40+ hp gain with a simple reflash. I'd get it now if I could get the manifold at a reasonable price. I'm pretty hesitant to order from a junkyard online since if something goes wrong or its the wrong part I'll just be out the money. You hear me sponsors...sell me this shit!

Besides, Tischer has ceased its international orders. So no more love for us Canadians.

Only option left is the junkyard.

About how much is everyone spending on this mod for all the parts?

Edit: answered my own question http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455180

I am assuming that folks know that Turner is offering a complete manifold kit and software for $1700 right? I didn't read all 36 pages of this thread.
