Beating a dead horse....LCI Tails
Question for you guys and gals as my searches have yielded me close to nothing. I purchased my e90 with the intent of keeping it my daily driver. It's still staying as my daily, however, the mod bug has struck again. Among the slew of parts I have to install when I get home form deployment next month is my lci rear end. I'm actually quite fond of the Pre-LCI front end, however I needed to change the trunk/ tails up as my stock trunk was pretty beat up. With that being said, I have been curious as of late if my lci tails are going to plug right up to the stock pre lci harness. Can anyone shed some light and give me piece of mind? Will my lci tails work after I am done coding them? Or is there another harness I need to purchase in order for them to work?
Thanks in advance guys. -Mike

I'll be doing an LCI rear conversion here soon. From what I know, only coding is needed to rid any error indicators on the dash. Other than that, it should be plug and play...

Thanks for the reply bud. That's what I figured, however, I was reading a thread on bimmerpost and some guy was splicing shit, and re-wiring stuff...it confused me..just wanted clarification.

I sure hope that isnt the case! I'm waiting for my LCI trunk to get here, so I'll be doing the swap this weekend if I can find some time.

It's pretty much plug n play in a sense but your reverse lights won't work. You'll need to rewire one or two of the wires.

Just wanted to update this thread for the OP. I successfully completed my LCI rear conversion. Trunk was super easy to swap. The outer taillights dont require anything other than plug N play. The inners however need to be rewired as indicated in this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=673053
The picture displayed in that post is for the passenger side inner. The driver's side inner should be a mirror image, otherwise, your lights will not work properly. Obviously, you will also have to code out any errors.
