star twist 230 alloys would black finish suit these ?
Had them done only last year (mate of a mate) & not that happy with them so it's a bit awkward to take them back.
Thinking of gloss or matt black stove enammelled finish & can get done for £35 each & the place is very highly rated. Will consider buying new black alloys but I have just ordered some spacers so if I change my alloys now they might not fit. One step forward one step back.......... Basically I'm moving to the meaner looking black look. Grill is being sprayed with some cans ( dead easy to be honest) Thoughts? |

Don't think black wheels look good on most colours of car.
The best thing about the 230s is the light striking off the contours. It will not happen with black. When finished well they are a very nice wheel. |

I had mine powder coated in like a gunmetal grey and the look spot on my car but my car is space grey.
The grey still shows off the contours and i was going to go black 1st but thought it woulf be too much. Gunmetal grey/graphite would also look nice on black me thinks. |

See I am thinking about going with black alloys, on my m-sport, which has the 19's in silver currently (not sure what number these alloys are)....
Part of me thinks it would look really good.

I just think you lose detail and lines on a totally black car/wheels. Just looks like a black blob. No offence to anyone that likes/has this but it's deffo not for me.

i have the 230's and black would not suit them at all in my opinion. The sparkling silver/alloy is what makes them so nice, making them black will dull them and they will look a bit "boy racer-ish"
But each to their own, its your car and your statement! Last edited by marshyrob; 03-18-2012 at 10:46 AM.. |
