Ice white angel eyes as standard?

I have been noticing a lot of 11 plate e90s and e92s with ice white angel eyes. I have a 60 (end november) 320d m sport plus with xenons but I have the yellow looking angel eyes.

Are bmw fitting the new cars with the ice white as standard or are all these likely to be mods?

The later models get new LED Angel Eyes.

BMW completely redesigned the headlight hence the ultra brightness, I have looked into it and would say it is impossible to move components over

thanks creepy coupe and bomber.

When you say newer models. Like I said I have a november 320d. Did they redevelop the headlights after this? Or am I able to get them fitted to mine?

I would have thought, your car was on the cusp of being changed.

I could be wrong (and things could be different in the UK) but I am pretty sure only the e92s have LED angel eyes, and your right they do look like super bright after market ones. The LCI e90s do have whiter corona rings than the pre-LCIs which were a bit yellow, but the e90s arent nearly as bright as the e92s' LEDs and the e90 coronas, particularly the outer ones, still seem to disappear from certain angles in the day time.

AFAIK only the coupe has white angel eyes as standard. E90 still has the yellowish angel eyes. I have never seen an LCI E90 with white angel eyes, ever.

I have now, but they're not as bright as I'd like

Wonder if we can find the part number for the LCI E92 whiter h8 bulbs?

I am 100% sure the white halos are only on the E92/E93. They are redesigned LED rings. The E90/E91 still has the yellow non-LED.

Wow that is really shocking. I just got an LCI e90 (again, I appear to be the only US model chiming in here) and came from a pre-LCI (both xenons) and I could swear the LCIs are whiter (still not as white as H8 or e92 LCI, but less yellow than my pre-LCI).

I guess maybe the ugly-ass US market amber corners could have affected my perception compared to the new LCI xenons with no amber.

I have seen a few '11' plate coupes around the the white angel eyes do seem a lot brighter than some of the earlier LCI models

Agree, the 11 plate E92's have really bright white angels, also went past an X5 11 plate today with the same super bright white lights.

Love em, but i have a 2007 E92 so not gonna happen and it looks like all the aftermarket options for the Pre LCI E92 are no where near as good as the LCI lights due to the difference in the light design. Oh well nevermind, ill just keep saving for the few other slight mods i want to do.

thanks for all the responses. I imagine the e92 I saw had the newer standard and the e90 had aftermarket add on. I did see an 11 plate F01 (730) last night outside work which had the newer looking ice white angel eyes. I doubt these were after market add ons as it was a company taxi.

So to sum up really, can I take my e90 in to get the e92 angel eyes from bmw or do I have to add one of the aftermarket parts I have seen e.g

"ENDED" interesting

I wonder what the new LED system is like..... Surely it will be an LED system that fits within a h8 slot?

There is no bulb slot, the 2011 angel eyes are completely separate with leds built into the bottom of each one,
I was lucky enough to have one to play with, I would say its probably easier to fit new headlights, wings, bonnet and bumper than convert the headlights.
