Exclamation Speaker Sizes & Setup in 2007 328i e92.

Hello all.

I want to upgrade my e92 stock stereo system.

I used the search feature here first but couldn't come up with anything....

It has just the basic system, no logic7 or anything fancy.

I want to replace all of the stock speakers.

The stock headunit. (I am putting a single-din flip out 7" screen)

And I will be using a HiFonics 4-channel amp to power the speakers as well. (I am not just running them off head unit power).

Before I can do that I need to know the speaker locations, sizes, and mounting depth's.

Also, does the basic system use regular speaker wire or some fancy fiber optic stuff?

I don't know too much about the stock system.

Let me know. Thanks
-Jordan

Threre is no fiberoptics between the Head Unit and stock amp(for the hi fi system)it uses differential or balanced signals. 5 volt +/-

There are Fiberoptics connections to accessories like bluetooth ,cd player from the head unit. There are many threads in the section that cover this
topic. The people that are expert in this are a little frayed answering the same questions over and over again.

Also when you remove the radio you loose alarms and some other stuff.
The door speakers are 4 inch with tweeters and 50mm deep. You can find all this stuff in the threads in this section.

Some people mount the oem head unit in the trunk so the car doesnt think its electronics have been messed with.
