I hear you but the only way to get an alert it to sense the guns LIDAR, that being said the gun has to be engaged in order for you to even sense the signal. By the time you sense the signal is usually too late, unless you are jamming the signal.

If the gun is engaged it will try to read your speed. What these do is send similar frequency light back at the gun to confuse it so it cant tell between its own lidar and the one coming from this unit. This causes the gun to show an error.

Check this out, they test a bunch of Laser guns and how they react to a similar jammer. A bunch of the guns get error readings since they cant read a speed.
