Guys, not sure about Coventry but there is a gentleman in Birmingham who does coding. I just had my professional headunit coded for USB/iPod had the cd changer coded and had the digital speedo coded today. Can't thank him enough. Search for him on eBay and book through that. He goes by the name of Navtvman. Not sure if he's on this forum or not but really knows what he's doing. Contact him through the following link and book in to have your coding needs sorted.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F283459812283. Excellent service.

Hi all,

I'm in need of some help. I need to re-flash my DSC, Airbag and FRM modules. I updated the VIN on the units, but that caused them to drop their software and I'm unable to get my NCS expert (downloaded from Bimmergeeks) to re-flash them. I keep getting a VIN incorrect message.

Is there anyone in the South Cumbria North Lancs region who could do this for me. Or, point me in the direction of a good quality BMW Tools download and give me an iddiots guide?

Any help appreciated, otherwise it is the dealer for an Integration Level re-flash.

2009 E92 lost PDC. Cambridge based.

Hi All

The CD73 Professional Radio in my 2009 E92 failed, BMW quoted £700 so I picked one up of ebay for £80. The replacement works fine all apart from parking sensors, there is just no chime or noise from them.

Took into BMW, they charged a pretty penny to diagnose, said the sensors are all working ok and it was due to the second hand head unit but said they couldn't code it... Is this because they physically can't or just wont?

Is there anyone near Cambridge that I could run the car over too and get it coded?

Or anyone that could suggest what I need to buy to do it myself? I have found a few places to download the software just unsure on what adapter i need, the ones on ebay seem to only work on the E92's before 2007.

Many thanks

Matt

A decent DCAN cable can code it. The best cable is from Bimmer Geeks.

Or you could get their 'Pro Tool' app and go that route.

BMW could code it. But a dealer probably wouldn't know how to be honest. This scenario isn't something they'd routinely do.

Are your rear speakers connected mate. Had the same issue. Once I connected up the rear speakers, hey presto, the PDC started to work.

It's easy to do. All you need is a cheap enet cable. Download esys. Probably Carly or Pro Tool can do it aswell.

Cheers, I bought one from Amazon came next day and came with software, followed a tutorial on youtube and managed to code it. Parking sensors are working again!

Can anyone activate the navigation on an e92?

Its a replacement cic, vin number has been added to the box, but rejects the fsc codes, and navigation is still greyed out.

I am in London

Hi All,

I've just bought my first ever BMW, It's a 2010 3 Series 320i Business Edition E90 and I absolutely love it. I have a question about it's iDrive system specifically the bluetooth audio streaming, I've read in various places that pre 2011 E90s can't stream audio via bluetooth and I certainly can't seem to do it in mine but I can make phone calls, etc. What's the best way to get bluetooth audio streaming without using an external transmitting device via aux? Can coding fix this problem? or do I need to replace something?

Thanks,
Billy

I’ve got a very similar car to you. My understanding is that if you want Bluetooth streaming for music, you need to retrofit Combox. No idea how much that would set you back. I’m currently using a little Bluetooth thing the size of a matchbox, plugged into the aux port in the centre arm rest to play music from my iPhone.

I don’t suppose there’s anyone in the Basingstoke area that could code a couple of little things for me?

There is a gentleman in Birmingham who does coding. I had my professional headunit coded for USB/iPod had the cd changer coded and had the digital speedo coded back in July. Can't thank him enough. Search for him on eBay and book through that. He goes by the name of Navtvman. Not sure if he's on this forum or not but really knows what he's doing. Contact him through the following link and book in to have your coding needs sorted.

[QUOTE=makkan00;12138799]Guys,
Can I kindly request all of you, who CAN code to put your name with your coverage areas here, so our forum fellow members can benefit from your coding abilities. About charges, I am sure that you will be charging nominal fees if to help forum members.

I will start with myself.

makkan00
can cover Essex, London, and West Kent.
I can do followings;
F and E series coding
Coding Remotely
If you have a coding cable and software ready and not sure what to do, I can code your car remotely. Done few cars in UK, Norway, and Thailand.

Flashing Modules
1- Alpina Transmission Flash for 335i
only if you have N54 engine and built is 03/07 and onward

(Feedback)
2- Alpina Engine Flash for 320D
only if its pre 03/07 with dpf
3- Security update on all 3 / 1 series (may extend to other series).
useful for 2005-2007 owners who are excluded from dealers list
4- ELV toruble shooting / Steering wheel lock error
(Feedback)

Retrofits / Major codings:
-LCI tail lights retrofitting coding

-Xenon Retrofitting coding (Example)
-Hi-Fi coding of BMW head unit / CCC / CIC
photos of pre and post hi-fi coding

(Feedback)
-FRM2/3 retrofitted to cars with FRM1
Feedback1 Feedback 2
-Registering new battery or change AH on the car to accommodate battery of different AH or change to AGM type.
-CIC DVD playing when driving (for test purpose and off road driving only)
-Dension Gateway / ipod kit coding
-L7 head unit coding to retrofit L7 amp
-Increase brightness of DRLs and Keep them constantly bright (no dimming on parking lights / dipped headlights)
- Heating Seats retrofit coding
- Retrofit Head unit with USB / BT / DAB (example)

Increase Security of your BMW
-Add Chirp sound on locking / unlocking
-Add Visual sign (signal light blinks one time) when you lock your car.
These two helps to make sure that you locked your car. Somebody may have a signal jammer and if you do not hear locking chrip sound or turning signal light going, that means somebody is in the vicinity.
-Increase volume of your OEM security Alarm
-Add High beam flashing with your security alarm (park the car directing your windows of home and if alarm triggered, it will flash high beams to your windows)

Other codings:
- Update maps of CIC
-Add digital speed on speedometer
-Add instant mpg on speedometer (M sports car only)
-Fog light on with welcome light
-Increase the tilt of passenger mirror when reversing
-Wipers return to starting position if car is turned off
-Delete rear number plate LED errors.
-Mirrors folded with key fob
-Windows down with key fob
-Windows not interrupted when doors are opened
-DRLs on all the time on pre-LCI car depending on your light module
-Fog light delete for performance bumper
-Disable seat belt reminder / chime
-Windows switch working for one minute after switching off your car
-Central locking / unlocking button functional without key in ignition
- Add panic alarm on your remote
- Brake Force Display

CIC / Navigation related

CIC retrofit on a car with standard radio / on a car with CCC
CIC with DAB retrofit
Flashing CIC / Combox to latest software
Combox / Bluetooth retrofit
$6FL retrofit with CIC

Hardware work done

Help with sound system installation (Example here)
(Example 2)
(Example 3)
Addition of media / TV / USB box to CCC
Alpine kit Retrofit
Fully electric / Heated seats with memory retrofit
Rear Parking sensors (PDC) retrofit

So to all other CODERS in UK, please submit your details here.

Thanks.[/QUOTE
