Help with a parts diagram
Can anyone read this better than I?
It appears that number 12 is the part that contains the actual bulb receptacle for the front dome light in the E90. Looking for confirmation and ideally a DIY as I am pretty sure I need to access from above and remove the trim that circles the sunroof opening. https://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/20...gramCallOut=12 Thanks for your input |

Yes, all replaced with the exception of the front dome light and I completely screwed up the metal clips that hold in the bulb. Looks like I need to replace the entire assembly at that's just over $300.
I just can't for the life of my figure out how to remove it. |

Front Dome: 1. Flip down visors and turn them out towards the doors. 2. Flip open the little plastic cover on the piece that the visor clips into. 3. Remove the torx screw and take the clip off. 4. You can now pull the front edge of the headliner down. 5. Reach in with you fingers, you should be able to feel to metal clips on either side of the front (towards the windshield) 4. Push in and pull down, the whole dome light console comes out. Further on there's this: You DO NOT need to remove or loosen trim to do this. Insert a plastic putty blade from the windshield side of the dome cover, about even with the map lights on each side. That's where the metal clips are that hold the dome cover in. Push in on the blade to release the clips and gently pull down and it will release. Might find it helpful to remove the mirror which just twists off and unplugs, but it's not necessary just makes the job easier as it's tight up around the windshield area.
