So I Go In To Get My Cup Holder Fixed And...

I get this.

You should have seen my eyes when I saw the bill
Didn't even know anything was wrong with my car, just got it serviced 3 weeks ago. I guess I'll get used to it... Oh and my older sister's boyfriend (huge guy, played football at Purdue and went to Harvard for grad school) was the one that destroyed the cup holder with his knee... I'm too nice of a guy to make him pay though.

...And my golf swing still blows

I hate dealerships.. Rear window regulator 120. Labor 210.
O2 sensor 175. Labor 300.

That's why you should do all the work yourself lol

My brother also kneed my cup holder to pieces. Took me 10 minutes to replace, apperently I also saved about $550

Hahaha that's better than I've ever shot. I'm a mid 40's kinda guy. I was just hitting balls in my backyard off the knob. My sister came out and snapped this perfect pic

the cupholder issue always happens. a clip just falls off the pin holder. easy DIY to fix. and im pretty sure a dealer cant take the liberty of fixing stuff other than the things you authorize without confirming with you first.

Should have specified, it wasn't a dealer. It was a certified BMW technician that my family has been going to for years. And the clip didn't fall off, the piece that holds the top to the bottom snapped in half and the bottom of the cup holder was tilted sideways.

Why wasn't all that covered under warranty on your 2009???

Too nice Looking at your golf pic, I would say you did yourself a favor

That's why when I get my car service. I say do the job that's suppose to be done and dw about anything else. and also don't do anything before my go. I always know what they are doing and if they try to charge me I say no and take it home and do it myself. fyi I go in FBO+COBB handheld display on my dash.

I know right. I mean I trust him, he's my friend's dad and we've been going to him for years. But I didn't even have an engine service light on and my car ran perfectly fine.. sketchy

Next time make sure to say before you do anything give you a heads up and only do what your there for. for example, oil change. DO THAT ONLY! NOTHING ELSE!!!

Dude I replaced that regulator myself I could have helped you!

I took my car into my indie shop to schedule an appt they said they were going to have to charge me 120 for an obd scan to look at my warning lights. I went out and just googled what the cc-id codes were and there you go.

I would never take your car into the dealer unless it's under warranty.

+ 1 w Yodaime. I first thought it was $600 for the cup holder and thought you had problems. It's the stealership, get used to their rates if you plan on keep taking it there.

I wouldn't have paid him, don't care who he is. Would be like walking into a Best Buy, having them load a 52" TV while I'm shopping then hand me a $1500 bill on my way out the door when all I came in for was a new phone case.
