Shiv - v2.0.2 final map request

Hi Shiv,

Beside the 14-15psi maps for steptronic and manual, please release 12-13psi map variations as well. This would help to sort out issues very quickly and allow V2 customers to run on lower fuel and boost when they prefer to do so.

My 2 cents ( and my wish as well )

Thanks,
Eugen

For most pump gas applications, I recommend running 12-13psi in the low end and 14-15psi above 5500rpm. This way you limit torque output while still making good top end power.

However, if you are running all those free flow mods, you have to be careful not to make more power than your fuel system can support. In your case, I'd drop top end boost (above 5500rpm) to 12-13psi. This will keep you from running uncomfortably lean. At least until you get it on the dyno and check your AFR.

We should have your exact same set-up on our car sometime next week and will have more info for you. But for now, just play it safe. I'm sure the car is blazingly fast but you wanna be careful. I did talk to Dan @ Harmon last night about your car but it was late (during dinner) and didn't tell him to reduce your boost at high rpm. So it's my fault, not his. He did say the car is ridiculously fast though. Don't be surprised if it makes 400whp on your race gas mixture

We are going to release v2.0.2 shortly with a bunch of guidelines (and recommended User torque settings) that people can follow depending on their particular car set-up and octane.

Shiv

I second scalbert! Today would be ideal, so I can use my car for the weekend to its full potential.

That would be a bit more difficult since the map is loaded onto the PROcede and not the harness.

At the moment I'm always driving in Valet mode till the engine is warmed up.

Could it not be an idea to change the map automatically to the High performance map when the oil is warmed up? (I don't think anyone want to WOT with cold Oil) or a method while driving. Its not to comfortable to stop and restart the engine.
I know I could also control my foot but that's hard sometimes

Or you could just drop the valet mode, and keep the rpm's low until your temp gets up to at least 200. I mean, that's what I do now with 1.45, and what I'm planning to do with V2 (eventually...still waiting).

Believe me I totally understand not being able to "control your foot".....It seems like I look at my temp gauge more then I look at the road when I first get going.

Why? There's nothing wrong with v2.0.1. Just a little overly conservative. Still considerably stronger than v1.
