My bad if you thought I was bashing, I was just actually trying to stop people from bashing Eugene. Trying to state that no matter what any of us think, he is one of the guys, including WalkedU, who are just really nice and informative and polite to everyone on the forum. I was just afraid people might start bashing Eugene since he was going away from Vishnu, that has happened before on these threads.

I like Eugen and wholeheartedly agree that he has been a great asset to the boards and no doubt will continue to be. I have no problem with him stopping beta testing for whatever reason be believes he should.
However, it's my opinion that a known beta tester should wait for all beta testing to be complete before proclaiming that he's putting his tuner box up for sale, announcing that it's sold (when it's really not), and insinuating that whatever problems he perceived are insurmountable. I think Eugen acted with his emotions. Since he's human, and since I also do that from time to time, it's perfectly understandable and perfectly forgiveable. Nevertheless, it opened Shiv and Company up to attacks from every hater within several parsecs. Instead of devoting all resources to putting out a good product, Shiv now has to defend himself from accusations of everything from poor customer service to blowing up engines to dating ugly women. That certainly isn't fair and I'm sure it wasn't Eugen's intentions. I suspect that, upon reflection, and with the knowledge that there appears to be another knowlegable beta tester who holds an opinion contrary to Eugen's, he probably would have handled the situation differently. No hard feelings Eugen. Insofar as Shiv is concerned, I suspect he'll have an ironclad non-disclosure agreement with all beta testers in the future. ![]() |

Nobody should bash nobody, but everyone have to be clear as the water, including Vishnu's team and its customer. Apparently, Eugene has some concerns and it is not being solved by Vishnu, and this may affect us all procede users. Now we have to hear both parties, judge and make our decision.

I bet you didnt want to either. I agree with you, you have to go with what your heart is telling you, you are smart enough to do what you think is right. Now, that if Shiv probed you those boots spikes are fine, you are still right, you paid for your car, he didn't.

i really, really don't mean to start a back and forth, but something about that statement bothers me: AA=30 years of BMW knowledge, right? so was it the 30 yrs that influenced them to contract Shiv to develop the Xede in the first place, or was it something else? kind of reminds of the chicken and the egg theory.

Eugen said he's not a tuner. Eugen said Shiv is a tuner. The tuner disagreed with the non-tuner's interpretation of data. Apparently yet another beta tester holds a position contrary to Eugen's. I said previously that I have no problem with Eugen stopping beta testing for whatever reason he wants. However, Eugen made a rash decision by going public. I don't know anything about his sleep patterns. I hope that's understandable. That's as slow as I can type. ![]() |

e46e92love not to bust ballzs or anything, but I would like to see some proof on the blown 335 engine,This is how rumors start and should be settled right now.
I find it funny that a BMW dealer told you that, maybe they were trying to scare you into not getting a piggy back? even if an engine blew, the 6th cyl is the one that always would blow up on the e36 M3,the head gasket would crack there because that was the hottest spot. If a 335 blew a head gasket,it wasnt becasue of the tune,it was because it over heated and melted the head gasket.I think the 335s have heating probles with stock cars shutting down when being tracked,so it could easily happen to any 335. |

People on this forum seem to be loven the Hateraid. Its in beta testing people, meaning that no one knows what the final outcome is going to be. You find glitches, you fix them, simple. If eugene got shook up because something seems dangerous to his engines integrity then its his prerogative to refrain from further testing. and for those people who are worried about the longevity of their engines, don’t mod them, better yet don’t drive your car, it will last forever.
I know that Shiv has been slow in sending out his V2, myself being one of the people still waiting for mine, and when I send messages about ETA on my V2 I hardly ever get a response, but I have to admit anytime I have ran into a real technical issue, they responded immediately. I for one am excited about JB2R, Helix, SSTT, and PROcede competing, This will insure that each tuner will be motivated to create a better product then the other. Like most of you, I cant wait to find the true potential of these cars. Okay I’m done with my rant! |

Eugene,
Just wondering if you were able to data log stock car? can you read the log's of a stock car? Would it experience similar boost spikes? If it does …maybe it’s just the nature of a Turbo car.

With the stock boost being as low as it is, I doubt you would get any significant spikes.

If the public version doesn't pass muster, then at that point the beta tester should be able to put the smack-down on the tuner. |
