Moroso 335i Drag Night results
Hi, guys. Just woke up. Last night was my first time on the drag strip and at Moroso so I was slightly clueless until I figured it all out. I went with fll335 (thank you!) and my other friend Curtis in his M3 but they wouldn't let him run because he doesn't have FL license yet (just moved from Illinois). He has also a 10.5 second Stealth twin turbo.
Anyways, fll335 (JB2R) had a decent first run but by dumb luck I went faster, I had a good launch of 1.96 and my ET was 13.1 and 107 mph. I am on JBS2 and catback exhaust only. 93 octane. I am also on stock runflats. My other two runs I tried too hard to go faster and messed my launches up. I got on the gas too quickly on the launch. Oh, well...I am going back when I get the Terry pill for my JBS2 and I am also going to purchase the VIP intake soon. Let me be one of the many to say that Moroso is a rough track to hook up on....and my runflats didn't like the way I treated them at all. I think I am going to stick with this JBS2 even when Helix comes out. I'm interested to see how much power I can get out of my car running this tune and maybe Terry will have something when I get downpipes and my intake. With drag radials, JB2H (hot pill), downpipes, intake, and exhaust...perhaps some more PSI from Terry after all of that and I think I can dip into the low 12's without much trouble. I'm going to do my best to become the first JBS2 car on pump gas to run under 12 but it's going to be a while because this stuff is expensive!!! ![]() Please post your times and mods here for Moroso and I will update the list. I saw a bunch, but they were all disorganized in the VIP thread. I'd also like to add that Jay from VIP is a very nice guy and I look forward to giving him business on the intake. Sniz, I'm running auto.
I will have to admit that it wasn't the ultimate run my car has right now. It's a great run for Moroso but not the run I am capable of. I think I could have broken 13 if I lauched another 200 RPM higher and launched correctly off of the brake. I'll dip into the 12's on RFT when I get the 93 octane pill. |

Not bad at all for your first time. Those are good numbers. Try pressing DTC once. Some more pratice and you will get your 12 sec pass and perhaps you will trap a couple of miles more.

The run of the day besides VIP was fll335. He definitely represented the JB gang out there tonight. He ran 12.86 at 109 with a 1.94 (I think) 60'. JB2R only mod and baby seat in the car.
![]() I have that number in me on a good night with the pill and my exhaust. DR and shave off a tenth or two I hope. I remember the commentary on the speakers on fll335's run: "BMW with a good launch and the Vette is off.....wow, that BMW is really moving!" |

Well you do need more octane if you run the JB2R. Terry recomends 96 + octane thats why I added the toulene.

There were a few of them and I think both had traction issues and never made it out of the 13's...or even anywhere close. I might be missing someone, though.

I can't stress enough the importance of swapping out the oem stock RFTs for good, non-RFTs like the Mich. PS2s on a PROcede'd 335i, especially with v2...it's absolutely imperative for somewhat decent traction.
