hood won't close properly

hey i'm not sure where to post this but this forum said "exterior repairs" so maybe some of you have come across this problem.

my hood doesn't seem to close properly. i mean, it stays shut and everything, but the right side of the hood (from the drivers seat) is a little bit higher than the left side (by about a centimeter). i can't figure out why that's happening or what's wrong.

when the hood is closed, on the left side, the gap between the bumper and the hood is probably 1/2 centimeter, whereas on the right side it's more like 1 1/2 centimeters. please help.. it's driving me crazy!

I'm having the same problem, but you can adjust it on your own. Open your hood and do the following:

1) use a phillips screwdriver and remove the plastic screw in the driver side hood latch (the part attached to the hood)
2) slide off the plastic collar around the latch
3)spin the metal latch until it you have the desired height
4) reinstall the plastic collar
5)close hood and see if its the correct heigh, if not readjust.

Sorry to bring back an old thread. But I have this same problem but I dont see a plastic screw, collar, or a latch that I can just spin around.
Can you only do this with the E92 hood?

This is what I have to work with. *warning dirty car

its actually the U shaped hook that is on the underside of your hood. You dont have it in the photo, it would be on the leading edge of the underside of the hood.

suprised I saw this thread again!
