I finally got the bimmerworld guides for my front brakes. They fit much better. Can also confirm the dust shields will fall off.

Looks like the ecstuning bronze bushing parts are back up for sale again. What did they end up redesigning?

I got the front solid caliper guide bushing kit from bimmerworld a month or two ago. They fit the fronts perfectly. I don't think BW sells a rear kit, but Turners kit worked for my rear calipers without issue. Although TM advertises that their kit fits both the front and rear of the E90, it will only fit the rear, as the supplied bushings are too short to fit the front calipers.

Any reason to get the ECS ones over the BimmerWorld ones?

psychosinmylobby ours utilize a sealed design allowing extended service intervals for performance guide upgrades. Also ours also utilize oil impregnated bronze vs standard brass.

Defective Part?

I ordered ES#2723829 for my 2008 BMW 328xi a while back.
I only got around to installing these recently but I believe I may have received either a defective or incorrect part. If you look at the stock photo closely you'll see that the retaining ring groove is cut right around where the ridged press fit section ends; however, in the parts that I received the retaining ring groove is cut significantly after that section so when installed the retaining ring doesn't really do much of anything. It seems like the part fits otherwise but just the retaining ring groove is machined in the wrong spot somehow.

I tried emailing ECStuning about this last Friday 3/23 but have not received a response as of yet....

ECS has been dropping the ball recently.

Try their chat support instead of email. I have better luck with them through chat.

Opps updated my post with links to images of the bushings I received. Wish I had noticed this before pressing them in. Fortunately you can hammer them back out fairly easily. The retention ring is really needed to keep these things in place.

Just make sure they look like the stock part and you should be okay. It's also a million times easier to install with their tool kit rather than a C clamp.
The other thing I noticed is only the ECS stainless guide pins will work with their bronze bushings. They are ever so slightly thinner in diameter.

What happens if these are not maintained properly?
Will the calipers seize at some point?

Agreed! I had an issue with a suspension refresh kit not being complete and you would have thought I was asking for a new motor when I called to get the right part. Tried calling to address it a few days later and I got more grief from the same customer service rep. I hate to say it but try FCP Euro for most things, they tend to be cheaper.

I don't get it, ECS has always been great, it just seems over the past year things are dropping off. Maybe they're expanding to quickly.

So these don't work with the stock guide pins?

Dont buy this.

I try it Front and Rear on HDPE event.

First thing i see no difference.
Second thing you need to do the maintenance every maximum 3 months. They will jam and work bad.

At the front it's ''ok'' but at rear dont buy this.

I finish at from with stoptech caliper and at rear i bought new caliper and i doesn't install this crap.

It definitely didn't seem to for me. I measured the stock vs their stainless parts and their stainless parts were about a tenth of an inch thinner. Or it could be just their tolerances are tighter than the stock parts. They do ship the stainless guide pins with the kit though anyway.

Ok then it might be fine. I only bought them since my calipers have 115k miles on them and seem to have uneven wear on the rotor. If they actually need service every 3 months I will be returning them.
