I'm trying to fix a coolant leak coming from above my front turbo. It's dripping from the wastegate housing (I think) at about a drop per minute (see pics). I thought it was the coolant return line as that is right above the wastegate housing. However, I just finished replacing the coolant return line and the O-ring on the supply line and as soon as I refilled the coolant it started right back up at the same flow, even before I did the coolant bleed procedure. I'm at a loss and am seeking guidance from the community.

I'd say you should buy a pressure tester they are not to expensive on Amazon I believe and it will be pretty obvious, especially since you say it leaks as soon as coolant goes it.

That's my plan if I ever get a leak I can't locate.

Thanks for your response and I'll take steps to do a pressure test. What additional information would a pressure test give me besides the confirmation that there is, in fact, a leak?

It will leak more from the leak. It should be pretty easy to find then.

N54MDBL, did you ever find the source of the leak? I'm dealing with something similar.

Same, but haven’t located any suspect source yet.

I fixed my issue, it was the o-ring on the Mickey mouse flange leaking when hot. Coolant was running along the cylinder head seam at the front of the engine and dripping down over the turbo and thermostat.
