IIRC, the law doesn't take effect until next July. If I understand lawsuits correctly (I am far from a lawyer), the lawsuit can't be filed until the law actually takes effect and "we the people" are harmed. We still have the unconstitutional roster, so I wouldn't be surprised if this unconstitutional law survives. It's also a first step in banning ALL semi-auto pistols & rifles.

They really do. If I had to pick the one thing I think I'd like most to see up here, it wouldn't be a specific platform / gun maker, but rather the ability to use silencers. I really think I'd enjoy that, both from a hearing perspective and a counterbalancing weight at the end of the barrel.

As an aside, it wasn't till I watched "No country for old men" about six months ago (yes, I'm really late to the game on some movies) that I became aware that a silencer for a shotgun exists. That still blows my mind sometimes - just crazy. I initially thought it was just a Hollywood thing when I watched the movie, but then I googled it and found out they do indeed exist. Can't say I'd ever use one if I had the opportunity to buy one, but who knows. I'd certainly like to try one out. Just feels like it may take away the purpose for which I use a shotgun (clays and birds) as I have no idea whether you can put shot through it or whether it is slugs only.

Well, I was/am wrong. A lawsuit has been filed.

new gun day. sort of.

Glock Store 26X frame arrived today.
Basically take your Glock 26 upper and mate it to a Glock 19 lower.
So I call it a fat 43X. lol.

What is the purpose of doing that?

Hey y’all, looking for some recommendations,

I’m looking to get a micro pistol for walking my dog in the mornings/nights. It would be kept in the belly pocket of my hoodie, maybe in shorts /pants pocket, which is why I’m looking for something smaller. Currently using a tactical belt, iwb with a Glock 45 at 5 o’clock but makes a noticeable print if not wearing my oversized hoodie and I don’t like reaching behind my back to grip it.

-7 to 12 rounds, handle and mag needs to be long enough for my pinkie to grip. Hand is slightly bigger than average, I can pick up a basketball with my right hand
-would like the ability to add on night sights and under barrel light
-max length 5.5”, height 4”
-the thinner the better, single file mag or narrow if staggered
-internal hammer
-thumb safety required, other safety measures a plus such as back of handle

look at the sig p365x....the p365X has a longer grip than the p365 but keeps the short barrel. the p365XL has the longer grip and barrel. both have standard 12rd mags with option for longer 15rnd. excellent shooting pistols and very slim for a semi-double stack mag setup.

Get yourself a Bitterroot holster for that Staccato too. Great quality stuff for a great quality gun.

Agree with this. I have a first gen P365 with custom stippling and I always carry in a 15+1 configuration. Super easy gun to carry off-duty in nearly any article of clothing.

Here are a few pics comparing my P365 to my Shield 2.0, which is half the capacity of the P365.

I originally bought the p365 then upgraded the frame to the XL frame for the longer grip and flush fit 12 round mags. This was back before the p365x was an option. I had the Glock 43 before that and it was basically the same same size with 1/2 the capacity and with a much less ergonomic grip. The Glock 43 is a very rectangular grip and not great for a good hold.

I could never really get into the Glocks despite people loving them. I almost purchased a 43X way back when, but opted for the Sig.

Thanks, I’ll make sure to test it out next time I go to the range, luckily they rent out guns so I can try out as many as needed. I visited the gun show over the weekend and multiple people showed me the S&W Bodyguard 2.0 Comp, felt pretty good except without the mag in my pinkie sits below the magwell and all I could think about was catching the pinkie during reload.
