Doing my lines and I was just removing and replacing lines. However, when I looked at the diagram it is hard to determine which of the vacuum lines go to which bottom of the vacuum canisters.
Can someone confirm which one goes where or does it matter? What happens if the order is swapped? The blue circles are the things I am talking about.

Can someone tell me this part number?
Does anyone know the part number that connects to hoses 5 and 6 on the right side under the intake manifold? Not the left side that goes to the vacuum canisters. I broke off one of the nipples on them and can't find the part number to order a replacement.
The diagram is from #13 here https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=13 *EDIT* Got it: 11666769086

Finally got around to replacing these damn hoses.
Did all except the ones going to the waste gates. Retained the original hard pipes that go over the valve cover and just replaced the ends. Tested the hard lines by submerging in water and blowing air while observing for bubbles. I don't know what size hands you guys have or how many joints you got in your wrist, but for me there is no way of getting that front waste gate hose on. I removed the canisters, I moved the coolant tank, and still no space. Front and rear waste gate hose I can feel and probably remove but I feel it would be an issue putting it back on. I don’t think I would have enough leverage to push the new hose onto the waste gate. Would it be possible to get to these easier from under the car? Trace the original boost line with your hand until you find it, I recommend doing that a few times so you can find it when the line is off (get really used to the spot, trust me it can help tremendously when the old line is off) Then pull it off, you don't have to be as gentle but I'd still be efficient as possible, don't pull dumbly. Try to wrap the old one around your finger and pull, space is tight but I just got it done recently without issues Then replace... PM if you need further help and maybe I can give some assistance over facetime of something similar if you're an Android user |

Great thread! Read thru all 12 pages
This looks like a decent replacement hose, thoughts? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...41a45d660d592d

If I do not have any codes does that mean my boost is ok, no leaks?

Friendly bump since this thread has some good info and also my results:
SUPER easy while doing an inlet install Both wastegates took 10 seconds each to get on and had plenty of room for hands and to route how I liked, the boost solenoids were honestly tougher. I used this CRP 3.5mm BMW blue silicone hose from FCP. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...MaArMvEALw_wcB Also have the ECS vacuum relocation kit on the intake side and all new black hosing that's tucked out of sight.

Exact Measurements
Thank you all.
Just giving back to the community exact measurements from my N54. Should be the same length regardless of body type E90/91/92/93. But these original lines are from an E93. I bought 15 Feet of "Verocious Platinum Cured Silicone Vacuum Hose - 3.5mm Blue" from verociousmotorsports. Ended up with 5 Feet extra. But next time I will probably color combo with White Silicone Lines I divided all the lines into 7 sections. In order of difficulty. 1 being the easiest. 7 being the most difficult. This is the order I recommend but do what you want! I am rounding up values since they are not perfectly straight, I was fighting with some scotch tape to keep them in place to take pictures. Section 1 - Near Brake Booster Hose = 7.5" Inches x1 Section 2 - Twin Lines Near Oil Filter Housing (They are the same size) = 6.5" Inches x2 Section 3 - Twin Lines exiting the black McDonald Straws on top of Engine connecting to Bottom of both Vacuum Canisters = 6.0" Inches x1 & 9.5" Inches x1 Section 4 - On Top of both Vacuum Canisters = 16" Inches x1 & 20" Inches x1 Section 5 - Nearest Boost Solenoids = 1.5" Inches x2 & 5" Inches x1 Section 6 - Front Turbo = 15.5" Inches x1 Section 7 - Rear Turbo = 20.5" Inches x1 Result: |
