what other mods do you have besides the us/euro air box conversion and the headers? did you delete the 2ndary cats? the resonator? stock exhaust or something else?

**fkin christmas lights everywhere... (bahumbug) ... anyway... the head cat delete sounds pretty good. if my girl was riding in the passenger's set, she'd get annoyed by all the noise but that's not her concern. Anyway... i'm looking forward to these ceramic headers... if there's that much of a difference between wrapping the headers in cloth vs ceramic coating, i may just make a [+1} difference in wrapping them cloth too once they're installed.
Thanks for the vid! i know you took time out of your day to do it and i appreciate that. |

well... i'm sure any part of your engine thats directly attached to your block is going to be warm... what methods are you planning on going about measuring the heat transferred from the headers back to the engine block?
cuz as i see it, convectional heat is going to be the same no matter what unless the material the headers is [made of] different... wrapping it in cloth is only affecting conventional heat; which isn't affecting the engine bay that much anyway... The biggest and most purposeful modification is the primary catalytic converter deletion... heat transfer i'm sure is probably only a small portion of horsepower increase looking foward to the dynos! |

Your car sounds good bro.
I applaud you for having the balls to come up with your own exhaust system, removing your primary cats and designing your own intake.

I got a few questions. Is this mod proven to gain hp/tq?
Do resonator, cat, or muffler deletes guarantee gains? If so how much? And can someone chime in as to why and provide the proof? I understand the exhaust is more free flowing etc, but I'd like to see if there is solid proof. Thanks in advance guys |
