Hey guys anyone managed to get their usb cable into the glove box?
If so please explain how you achieved this without cutting any holes.

In the firewall there is a hole, look for it. Best to use a torch and just shine through to see where the light is leaking from then thread cable through that hole.

Best tool to help with cabling the USB cord is a metal coat hanger, straighten the wire and help guide the cable through the hole.

Its really easy to do i just did mine a few days ago i used this DIY to do it,

If you installed the JB4 your self then you should be capable to do this.

Just unplug everything in the ECU box and take it all out to get access, feed the usb cable through the little hole in the bottom and it will pop out near the fusebox in the passenger foot well, just take off the cover there and you will see it. Then just feed it into the glovebox.

Legend pelicn, and thanks very much guys! Will have a go at it tomorrow night while I'm changing my spark plugs and coils. Got to love a misfire haha. Hopefully all goes well

As stated above, completely achievable. Although the entire DME needs to be lifted out.

Worth the effort if you're into having 'clean' setups, I've seen plenty setups with just the USB dangling in the engine bay/DME box which alarm the fk outta me.

Mission complete! Only problem now is finding an OTD cable that actually works as i keep getting "serial port not available" issues on my s5. Frustrating times
