If there is more substantial UV damage or stress cracks then new lenses are in order. Evan

C'mon guys, more output shots and less angel eye pics!
Here is my new setup: Lexus SC430 projectors with shaved shields and E34 clear lenses, Osram CBI bulbs @50w. Morimoto D2S 4.0 with shield removed for high-beam-only duty. Hard to beat the output of a high end low beam only projector. Lot's of work to retrofit but the output is world class. The rest of the headlights features and angel eye delete and "Full Vader" black everything with frosted diffusers. Evan SC430 was painted black and installed without a shroud. Parked 15ft from wall. SC430s are WIIIIIIDE Colorband Low beam High beam Control

What exactly do you want to see? Low beam? High beam? What the lights look like illuminated?
This is the only pic I currently have which might be helpful depending on what you are looking for. Evan

Face on all you will see is blinding light
Head lights look sick man. I still prefer halos but yours look on point. |

As for the head-on comment, if the high beams were on yes, face melting lumens but with the low beam the cutoff is very controlled and with my wagon being lowered and having the headlights properly aimed they will rarely catch the eye of oncoming traffic, that is the beauty of HID projectors which are aimed correctly. Here are some pics of my girlfriend's Prius (with Acura RL projectors) as an example. In the second photo the camera is barely above the cutoff so there are some of the blue/purple hues of the colorband caused by the projectors dispersive refraction (think Pink Floyd). This blue/purple light is only caught in the first inch or two above the cutoff, any higher (more common) viewing angle there is zero light and zero glare. Evan

Those are a thing of beauty. I wish I had the know how, or the patience, and the money, to have a set of those on my E91 as the standard halogen units totally ruin the front end of the car.

I built them up with some one-off Orion V2 halos, Morimoto D2S 4.0 Bi-Xenon projectors (also modded), and some Hylux 35w CANBUS ballasts. The results are pretty staggering both in terms of performance and aesthetics. I will post a separate build thread for this shortly. Evan

Can you go into a little more detail on this? Do I have to take apart the projector lens, paint it, then install a small LED run off the rings?

Halos can be mounted in various ways, aside from the Orions from Umnitza which clip on to the E46 all rings take some crafty installation. Some use adhesives or epoxy, personally I prefer to use bead wire. It comes down to tools, skills, and execution but it isn't most DIYers will struggle to obtain a truly oem looking install their first time, that is why they pay the pros the big bucks.
