Anybody using these race mufflers on the street? Currently looking to have a custom thinwall 304 stainless cat-back built around one or two with dual tips to look stock. Am told with the V-band clamps it's a simple twenty minute process once a year to repack the fiberglass. Also wondering if ceramic coating makes any difference at all after the secondary cats.

I've never seen anything suggestion any type of reasonable gains (especially considering the cost) for a ceramic coated exhaust.

Thanks, neither have I, good to know I haven't missed anything. It's just a couple hundred bucks or so but no sense pissing the money away if it doesn't contribute to performance.

Wasn't possible to modify to fit the PI snorkel, had to return it. Shop is currently looking at the PI now to see if there's any tricks they know to make it more free flowing. Also grinding away the excess metal on the strut towers to allow the camber plates to swing all the way over regardless of the angle of the hex nuts. And looking into where to mount a differential cooler. Oh yeah, clutch was dragging a bit, too. And a few other little things but we're planning the next round of mods now. So I'm stuck with an F30 328i until next week. Makes me glad I didn't buy one but maybe it's just me...
