Intermittent sound problems. No sound from speakers (again, sorry)
Hi all.
I'm having intermittent audio issues. 2007 335xi logic 7 I have the protool and cable and everything, not certain where to scan for codes. No sound at all from any speakers most of the time. Maybe 1 out of 7 or 8 drives around the sound will work and work fine until the car is shutoff again. Then most likely no sound again. Head unit was faded so replaced with an eonon. - no sound Replaced logic 7 amp - no sound. Amp has power and ground. Fiber optic is flashing red at amp. Fiber optic is flashing red under the dash. Not sure what the diagnostic procedure is or what module to check for codes at the least? I've read the new amp needs to be coded or firmware updated? Maybe the amp was fine and it was a problem elsewhere? Any ideas? I know this is common but I'm a bit slow lol. Thanks. |

Do you have the fiberoptic adapter that converts the Eonon output
from analog to fiberoptics to feed the L7 amp if you are going to keep it. Hows your battery voltage and your alternator output. If you have an aftermarket head unit you may diagnostics might be confusing. Last edited by ctuna; 09-14-2019 at 01:38 AM.. |

Battery voltage seems fine. 12.6ish. Battery charger is on the car also. I still have the factory unit to swap back, but the results were the same with both. No sound. (That's assuming I got the eonon installed correctly, it would be pretty hard not to but it's possible) |

If the fiber optic under the dash is flashing red on that test port, then the most fiber circuit should be complete?
Just checked again and have power on the red/white wire and ground on the brown wire at the amp connection. As well as the red flashing light there too. Just unsure on what the next diagnostic step is. Most posts and videos involve the most fiber optic circuits and it would appear it is functioning properly from the bit I know. |

Is there other stuff still in the Most Loop like a TCU , Mulf or
Sat Module. With and aftermarket head unit you can remove all that stuff since you are not using it anyway . Minimum configuration would be Eonon to adapter to amp. Or bypass the other modules with Most jumpers or by rerouting at the Most Hub. |
