30BB and a couple other ones as well related to injectors 4,5, & 6. Pretty much the same codes everyone else gets when they need to replace the mosfets, except the only difference is when I test them with the multimeter I'm not getting any beeps on them.

I would swap them out anyway. I was only getting 1 injector code but three of the MOSFETs were bad. Not sure about not beeping if there defective.

I just got all 6 replaced, and the guy who replaced them said all 6 were fine. I brought the DME home and plugged it in, still the exact same problem. Any one have any other ideas?

Did you get the same codes? When I swapped mine it started out rough but figured out it was a bad coil that had also gone out.

Yea, same codes, however I didn't clear them before. All I'm getting is the 30BB code and one other one that I looked up and it's related to the battery or something. I had the doors open for a long time yesterday so the battery is probably a little low. I'm not getting any misfire codes though, and it's definitely much worse than just a misfire. It barely runs when I turn it on.

Just tested the relay that's in the DME box and that is good as well, however my dad said once I started it there was no clicking coming from it at all, so I'm not sure if it's getting power sent to it. The weird thing is when this all started, the car started just fine. Then after about 5 seconds this started. Is there a fuse or something that can blow in line with that relay?

I am back up and running with IRF644SPBF from Mouser.
Like the OP, the injector 5 MOSFET was fried. I used a local TV repair shop to get it fixed. I am in Kansas City if anyone wants to know the repair location. Probably this is the best thread I have ever read in my 15 years of reading boards. |

It happened. Installed JB4 G5 ISO two days ago, car drove just fine for two days. On the third day car was just fine, I get almost to work and im going like 20mph in 2nd gear, I go to accelerate and car falls on its face. Pull into parking lot, Misfires on 1, 2 and 3, along with 30BA. Clear codes, restart car, still runs like shit. 30BA. Guess I fried my bank 1 mosfets. Now the question is do I want to repair this myself or bite the bullet and send it off for 500 bucks. Ive never soldered on circuit boards, but i have lots of experience soldering connectors, cannon plugs, micro switches. Ugh.

Been doing a lot of reading on hot air soldering. I feel confident enough to attempt this myself but I have few quick questions. What temp for removing the bad chips? What temp to install new chips? I plan on using 63/37 paste, Will this work best?
