my car is in the shop right now unfortunately...vacuum pump failed so my brakes basically stopped working while I was driving

Yeah id probably be down to go wednesday, my car should be ready to pickup tomorrow. Cost me about $1100 to fix.... at least they gave me a new F10 to drive around in the meantime.

I was a bit intimidated by the JB4 but the video with instructions (the video is for the JB3) made it a walk in the park. It's fun but I don't think I'll be using map 5 anymore, too many misfires and codes.

I saw a quick video of it. And feel ok with it.

Yep. Just thinking if I messed something up. I did wire up wrong to begin with but I caught it instantly. I also have a comfort access key so that had to stay inside until I finished. The longest process is taking all the plastic panels off to get to the ecu.

Ya. I have comfort access as well.
The first write up I saw said to pop the hood. Lock the car. And put the key inside the house somewhere where the car wont sense it.
Know anything about that?

That's exactly what I did and I didn't have trouble, minus forgetting to push the power supply wire all the way in, haha!
