Kit is installed. Car runs. Car Pulls
I dont have much time to go into the full detail of the install right now because I am about to leave town, but I wanted to let everyone know that I installed my kit Tuesday and it is all running. Install took all night taking my time. Alice and Chains MTV unplugged and The Best of Radiohead were the soundtrack to the install. Molson Canadian & Bush Light were on the house to anyone who came by. I also did some additional maintenance on the car while I had it in the garage.
Before starting the install, I loaded the ESS SC tune on the car to make sure it would run, and run correctly. It did. The install went well, I made a few notes to ESS on ways to improve the instructions and kit. They welcomed the suggestions, one of which is aluminum bolts for the supercharger bracket to match OEM. Current bolts are installed using copper anti-seize, which retards galvanic corrosion between steel and magnesium. The pulley is not the final production unit, which will have a better finish and design. The car needs some fine tuning to get the tune perfected for the 325 with 3stageIM but after a day of driving around it feels pretty strong. Feels ever bit as fast as a S54 Z3M. The S54 has more low end torque (and a lighter chassis) but the top end is probably stronger on the N52 even with AWD. During 1st gear pulls, the awd does its thing. It is good enough out of the box to drive. I am driving the car 5hr to Washington DC tonight for work. I have no doubts it will be fine and it will be a fun drive up! Finally, the N52 has an option. Attached are some pics. Please disregard my dirty engine bay, this is my daily and its been really cold (8deg here today).

WOW! Congrats on the speedy install, can't forget those premium adult beverages either. Looking forward for feedback after your drive.

Awesome!! Looks great, love seeing an e91 with a stick with the kit.
If you want some lovely 330i 13" front brakes let me know. I was wondering how this kit would deal with the 3 stage intake. I assumed the forced air would cause issues with the valve, and wonder if a 328i intake would be better to go along with the kit and selling it would offset some cost.

Where exactly does the air pass through? It obviously doesn't use the OEM vent, so it's sucking in hot air from the engine bay??

Update: Car made it to DC fine, have made a few small revisions on the tune due to the 3stageIM on the 325 ecu. I got one CEL code for the MAF airflow being too high at 2000rpm, ESS corrected this threshold so it wont throw a code.
Kisho will have his car tuned (325 w/ 3stageIM) at ESS in the next week or so, which will end up being the new base tune for other 325s with the 3stageIM. The transitions for the DISA valves still need more fine tuning. BTW, the 3stageIM works fine with boost. The resonance principles that make the 3stageIM work are not effected by boost. Its no different from driving the car high into the mountains or down in death valley. Atmospheric pressure is always changing naturally.
