Post your ST + Meth builds

Planning a ST build on pump and meth, looking to hit 650 wheel, want to see what turbos and fueling setups everyone’s running.

I’ll read over these threads thanks.

So looking around I can’t help but feel as if I’m one of few attempting a meth build, is it really that uncommon on this platform? Would help my peace of mind if I know it’s been done before at least more than a few times haha

they is few, friends got a vag shop and I always go to car show, specially eurokracy.

Strange enough, guys with serious build never post on forums nor fb.

Also N54 port injection is very popular, and 'plug it and forget it', probably more reliable.

On my audi meth kit fails already 2 times, no related to the kit, but surroundings; oil filter for the boost line reference, simply crack and leak, so the boost switch was seeing lower pressure value thus meth kit wont kick.
2nd issue, the nozzle pop-out of the charge pipe. didn't want to use blue locktight, now I use it.

I'm going meth on my 335 too, but not quite yet, engine should be back in the car in a couple of weekends, and no way I'm gonna street tune in december.

Interesting, makes me feel better.
What meth kit are you planning to go with? What kind of failsafes are you looking for?

I need to dig a bit more, since I was planning to use my JB4 with backendflash, but more and more people told me to go full mHD with my ST.
On the TT I was backendflash, and no issue.

Either AEM used or Bosphorus, which I have on my audi and work very well.
They offer a kit to be controlled by a ecu/piggyback.

Using the windshield washer tank, makes the job cleaner and low level warning is OEM.

Shouldn't use the WW tank, causes fires on this platform im reading. Be careful

Also not sure what mix your running, im planning on full meth, so I need to be careful about tank placement and lines, mounting tank in the trunk far from the engine, braided stainless steel lines. If your running a 50/50 mix it should be less flammable but be careful still.

Right on a platform known to have fires because of people doing exactly this. Have fun skimping out on $300 bucks when your car goes up in flames. Also the stock windshield washer tank is not baffled, granted the pump pick up is in the right location but zero baffling. Any quality meth kit has a level sensor and any quality meth tank will have a bung for a level sensor. Example:

Search meth, fire, & e90:

Even with a properly set up meth kit you want the correct fire extinguisher made to put out meth fires: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...th+fire&page=2

Bosphorus and their 1000hp+ pump? Not a lot of info from them online other they are based in Turkey and their products look like they are made for the european market. The quality of the parts looks meh. Surprised they are not on aliexpress to be honest. Good luck with customer service.

mmm, this is very interesting, this is why I like forums.
I heard that, but I was under the impression this was cause by the intake, residual pure meth on the intake side.

In fact my audi tank is on the intake side, so the pump.

I was planning to put the pump on the intake side on the E90 anyway.
There's few Pa of suction on those pumps.

So basically people already have issue of melting filler neck on stock car, and they use 100% meth next to it... ???
This shouldnt be an issue for me, using the same concentration as -40°C windshield washer minus the dye and other soapy stuff.
50/50 mix. The pure meth cost 10$ here, and water 4$ = 2 gal.
600cc single nozzle on the charge pipe.

For the baffle, the E90 tank is very narrow at the bottom, and the low level sensor way higher, doubt cavitation will be an issue. Ill refill the moment the low warning light come on.
About the same situation on my audi , the the tap, I've could go abit lower, but I wanted to keep the tap higher than the pump.

Now for bosphorus, I bought the kit in 2020, and have communicated with them few times, and 1 time for missing parts.
All the time was good, but it's a risk for sure ! The price justify this for sure.
Also, they claimed in 1 of their email, that they use generic pumps and they are all the same for most meth kit anyway, so quality it there.
