If I understand the tech papers correctly the lobes are manufactured to shape and then hydroformed onto the hollow camshaft. Might be finish ground after that, dunno.

it should be fine, unless it's encrypted or something - but since it's a stock file, it should be clear.

I can read it with a hex editor anyway but nothing's obvious. PM with an email and I'll ship it over so you can check it to see if it's clear.

I'd just need a stock original binary so I could tell you the addresses of the different settings.

If AA can do it, that would be great - but I don't want to do the leg work for them, lol.

I pinged Andrew at AA asking if they'd be willing to share a clear binary of the stock file. I don't expect they'd be willing to do that really but ya never know.

Alternately I asked him if they'd provide the cam parameters and locations but I doubt they'll do that either.

I'm also concerned about asking Todd for specific cam parameters as that's his IP he invested his time and money into developing. I just don't see him being willing to share the specifics in any way that would risk it becoming public.

So I asked Andrew if they'd be willing to work directly with Todd. They should be able to manage a way to share the information in a way that protects both their IP. This way AA would have a new tune to sell and Todd would have a way to enhance the performance of his cams and thus his sales. Sounds like a win-win for both to me, long shot though.

You should be able to get the lift & duration from any cam manufacturer - without knowing those parameters, it would be impossible to properly select an aftermarket cam.

How many parameters does the DME use to define the cam profiles? Just wondering how detailed it gets.

Very busy day since 6am, sorry. Car runs great, plenty of valve clearance. Torque up a bit thru 5Krpm, hp falls off approaching redline. AAbsolutely no surprise. Race exhaust install next Monday with before and after dynos scheduled.
