YeahBuddy's Progress Thread
Welcome to my little build thread, I'll update this regularly as I do bits and bobs to the car.
Today I spent the best part of 5 hours on my E90 today Also fitted some LED Darklines made by Depo. So I thought I'd share some photos. I used Meguiars Ultimate Compound, Meguiars Polish and finally Bilt Hamber double speed wax by hand. Also did the plastic trim, tyres, rain-x, polished headlight lenses and a few little touch ups. I changed the front halogen bulbs out for LED's - dipped and main beams. Also changed the tatty old start/stop button, little things Last edited by Yeahbuddy; 03-29-2021 at 05:41 AM.. |

Stunning E90!
Whenever I see pre LCI M Sport, can’t help to think it might be the best E90 version. |

Looks crackin'! I have to agree with Bimmer_Engineer though, that exhaust tip is draggin' it down a little. A quick and cheap tip (pun intended ) is to give it a good rub with some fine sandpaper to clean it up (give it the brushed stainless look) until you get around to changing the tip.

I've been quoted £150 (about $180) for the old back box chopped off and the new twin pipe exhaust tip welded on, does that sound about right? |

As for the quote you got, I'm not at all familiar with diesel exhaust systems so I really can't give you any advise on that. Check with a couple of shops and see if they are comparable is always a wise bet. I'm not sure how it works in UK but most shops around here give free estimates with no obligation to get the work done.

After waiting 3 weeks, finally got my boot spoiler. Ordered from a company in Tawain on eBay, they paint whatever colour you want, I have to say the paint job is amazing.

So today I set about changing the front discs and pads, quite a straight forward job you would think. Well the drivers side went smooth sailing took about 20 minutes.
The passenger side.. absolute hell lol. The 6mm hex bolt holding the disc to the hub rounded out, I drilled it, I chisled it, I tried to drill the head off, I tried to drill straight through it, I sang a love song to it, but no luck. What I ended up doing was taking a 4lb club hammer to the back side of the disc which saw the rotor flying off the car YES! However, bolt still stuck in hub, all in all the passenger side took 4 HOURS!! Think I'll let the local garage do the rears. Anyway, got it done |
