INPA 5.06, NCS Exper 4.01. PM me if you need them.

INPA is partially in English, but the most parts of codes are in German.

Can anyone help me with the install of ******84's files? The naming conventions are different than what is listed in the guide in the stickies and I am now thoroughly confused.

Are you referring to the fact that the NCS menus are in German? If so, I have the file needed to change them to English, if that helps. You'll need the expert profiles from someone too, if you're using BMW ST 2.12 on a 64bit OS.

No, I can't get the software to install cleanly at all. ******'s file names are different than the file names in the NCS DIY.pdf - for example, there is no NCSEXPER folder that I can find.

My understanding is that Pawel's files are the most up-to-date versions of this stuff; I've never done any coding before, just getting started and I'm just trying to install the software. I'm running 64bit Windows7. I did find the expert profile that I need, but it's a moot point because I can't get the software to install regardless.

I ran the setup that is in the drive folder, and it seemed to install Standard Tools and create all the shortcuts to the various programs on my computer, but INPA doesn't connect to my car; Ediabas and Winkfp just crash and say they aren't compatible with my system. Normally I could pick over the various files and figure it out but everything is in German so I have no idea what anything means.

I'm going to try setting up a virtual machine to run Windows XP over the weekend unless someone can show me what I'm doing wrong.

No, stay with Win 7. It is not so easy to install this, I know. First you need to install INPA and then Standard Tools 2.12. This tool contains NCS Exper.

I didn't install them yet! I'm looking for my "parallel desktop" CD to install Win. XP... Can't seem to find it!

Thought I'd piggy back off this thread.

Waiting for my One Stop USB cable, but in the meantime, I need the latest and greatest for Win7 x64, English please. Links, PM, whatever works!

If someone could send me the links as well (win7 x64) that would be great. All I can find so far is from bmw coders as bmw coding says "google it". The bmw coders site has a link to a Russian download page that I don't know if I can trust and it is supposedly only version 5.0.2.

My cable should be in any day now from Hong Kong, and I'd really like to at least be able to read codes soon as my car is misfiring.

Thanks!
