Bimmer Performance Center N52 On The Dyno

This 328i automatic arrived for a stage 1 tune. This E90 is bone stock other than our own BPC Stage 1 tune.

Check out our tunes and other products on our webstore: https://bimmerperformancecenter.com/...i-n51-n52-tune

I love these threads. Any chance you guys compare an off the shelf vs the dyno tune?

Whoa - 13whp for an OTS tune is awesome. Still trying to nail down scheduling for my dyno tune!

Cool. Pricey, but hey, it's a BMW All in all not a bad dollar per hp gain IMO as far as most mods go. Plus, I'm sure there are other changes made such as throttle response?

Any chance you guys (or anyone, Axiom?) have any dyno's of tunes to an N51? I'm having trouble finding out what to expect gains wise on an N51 because it already has the 3 Stage intake mani.

Thanks for sharing btw!

No idea. Their website says $650 but perhaps that's assuming the buyer is remote and so that price includes their flash tool? $500 in-house would be good news indeed... that's more in-line with the competition's price.

That's what I understood was the in house was $500 and the tune plus software tool was $650.

Thanks for sharing! Drivetrain losses aside, do automatics dyno lower then manuals due to the higher final drive ratio?

Final ratio doesn't matter as dyno is looking at engine rpm and rear wheel rpm so it can remove whatever gear ratio there is in between.

Phil@BPC Can you clarify this? I thought it was $650 and you mail in your ECU like what Active Autowerke does.

https://bimmerperformancecenter.com/...i-n51-n52-tune That may be with the USB and cable. You have to ask.

Yes, it it's due to the torque converters not diff final drive ratio.

The $500 price is if you bring your car to us to dyno tune and don't want the flash cable. If you purchase the tune online its $650 and that's including the flash cable. This is for the N52 Stage 1 tune.

Might be dumb question, but if I bring my car to get the tune in your shop the price is $500 and that includes both the tune and a free before and after dyno run with charts and stuff? I don't need the cable.

I've been looking to get a dyno run on my car to see how much power I'm actually making for my own curiosity. Thanks.

No dumb questions just questions that don't get asked

You are correct, the $500 would include the tune, before and after dyno runs and chart showing before and after numbers.

Wow, Thank you! That's a terrific deal! People in my area charge $100+ for a dyno run alone.

I think that's what we charge too for three pulls. Since we already have the car strapped down and need to measure everything while tuning the car we like to offer doing a before and after. Although 8 times out of 10 most people dont want a before or after they just want to drive and enjoy their car.
