Professional Head Unit - Coded To Car?
Does anyone know, if I were to replace my head unit due to dead pixels, if it would need re-coding to the car, or is it literally 'plug and play' as it were? (It's an L7 Top Hi Fi model)

As in security code. Its coded to one of the three main types (or 4th not common type) Plus the options like bluetooth phone, PDC, BMW sos , cdc, ipod. The pixel display can be replaced there are DIY kits or you can send it in it a real common problem. Be sure you get the same on back.
