Loss of full range signal
Hello Everybody,
Bit of a noob here but I have been following the forum closely and as a result managed to upgrade my audio system following the recommendations of all those who upgraded here. I have base audio in a e90 and carried out the following: New component speakers for the front, earthquake sws8xi, coaxial in rear all powered by jl xd600/6 and used a technic harness. Also, the car was successfully recorded to hi-fi for full range and flat signal. Now my issue, on the left side (amp side), it sounds like the speaker is high passed but the right side is full range. I get hi, low and mids and sounds real good. I have no idea what could have caused this, I've flipped the speaker input and outputs making left right fronts back and it just leaves me stumped! I even wired new components in too. If anyone could help me here, I'd be very grateful. |

Hello Ctuna.
I've read up on your posts too and you are very knowledgeable with this. Your reply makes sense. Technic did send me the jumper too. I think it was the capacitor as that makes the most logical sense to me. I am not the most clued up when it comes to audio especially with car audio but with all yours, technics, VP, Beemer, etc I managed do it. The car has alpine components which I dremeled for it too fit but I learnt my lesson regarding hardware.... follow the pros! Thank you for your reply, really appreciate it. I had a think about going back to correct it but I'll have to get rid of the car now as I seen a good deal on an f30. Thank you again for your reply ctuna |
