Guys here is the update.
Today i updated my VO, i deleted $639 off of my VO and then i defaulted KOMBI using Expertmode. I also have BMW_ASSIST_RAD2 nicht_aktiv BMW_HOTLINE_RAD2 nicht_aktiv TCM_ALIVE_MONITOR nicht_active TCM_ID_MONITOR nicht_active I also did add +TELD to VO But i am still getting SOS error, Am i suppose to change some other options too, Like disable phone ring option or so. I did run DIS57 and i am not getting any error code since i deleted $639 option on my vo. My radio, BT, and voice commands are all working, plus i dont have BMW assist or phone service. Ment to say that my bmw Assist is expired and i dont use it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Last edited by intel1; 03-29-2016 at 08:08 PM.. |

I would try to verify it has power before replacing
I would try to verify it has power before replacing.
I haven't heard very many or any reports of this item failing I don't think it needs coding but can't be sure. |

The most information I can find is in this pdf
http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447
page 20 which makes me think maybe it just and antenna wire. |

SOS Fix - easy way
There is actually a great blog post and YouTube video explaining this in detail. They even have a pre-trimmed version of the MOST adapter now that comes ready to install out of the box.
The stock version bypass/loop requires you to carefully hack away at the plastic to get it to fit. I actually damaged my first unit trying to get it to fit. Anyhow, here's the link: https://www.modsandprojects.com/bmw-...o-audio-error/ |

This one is only $13 and it's universal and plug and play! Back when i bought the older ones for a few bucks less it has to be all kinds of cut up and trimmed to fit the adapter =/

So I'm new to the forum but I'm having the same problem. I bought the fiber optic feedback loops, since I have a 335is 2012 my car did not come with a satellite radio module I only have the TCU in the back along with the amp. At the front I have one of the optic fiber connectors and I used the feedback loop on that. But it still wouldn't solve the problem. It turned out that the TCU had not been sending the signal back to everything else. So I used one of the feedback loops but now I have no aux/Bluetooth but the chimes and radio works fine. Do I have to get the SOS malfunction coded out of the TCU or do I have to buy a new TCU? (Bought a used one off ebay and didn't fix the problem and owner said it worked)

A 2012 would have come with a Combox not a TCU at least in the United
States. Aux , USB and streaming bluetooth Music , bluetooth phone is handled by that module in a 2012 in the US. At some point some of this stuff was integrated into the head unit especially satellite radio. Generally you can not pop in another module and have it work without programming. Also you need to pop in the exact same type of module. What apply to a 06 car does not necessarily apply to a 2012 car. You need to find out what's in your Head Unit and which Head Unit you have weather it be Idrive or ProRadio. Last edited by ctuna; 10-16-2019 at 02:34 PM.. |

I just got this damn code too now. Should I buy that Amazon MOST adapter and try and find where it's coming from? I only care about my aux port as that's where I have my Bluetooth adapter plugged in. Nav and the screen functions work fine... just no radio functions Any insight would be great.
I have a 2007 335 |

What do you mean by no Radio Functions do you mean no audio?
If you have the Logic 7 speaker and amp system any break in the most Loop will cause loss of audio. If you have the Hi Fi system it will not. Aux may or may not come from the Mulf 2 hi depending on your options. The Mulf 2 hi does aux and usb and is buried under the TCU in the early model years but the sos is in the TCU so bypassing the TCU would fix sound and aux issures if you have Logic 7. There are cheap optic loops on Amazon as you pointed out. |
