That might be me, Al. I think I brought those rear strut tower M3 side braces to the attention of the community. They are a welcome addition for stiffening the chassis further.

Hi Al,

Can you help me confirm the correct part number for the roof bow? There are three listed on RealOEM, with some ambiguity in the diagram. I think it's item 4, highlighted yellow, part number 41237144964.

Is this the part needed when peeling the roof and deleting the sun roof?

Thanks a million.

For my car I ordered roof crossmember “roof bow” BMW part # 41007168999

This part looks unique to coupes but seems to fit the same location as what you found for the wagon...

Thanks, Al. That's interesting. The illustrations appear identical for the long and short roof versions. Agreed - the roof bow appears in the same position but different fitments / application.

I'll order it.

Had a great day at the track today. Got some rudimentary video finally! This is chasing down a modded Civic Type R. I also passed a Boxster 718 this session I’ll post more video soon…

what i was going to say. It doesn't sound like you're not rev matching. Also there are many spots you can smooth out your corner exits.

Here’s a short video of me chasing a 996 Carerra S today. Someone commented on my last video that the CTR must have been going easy. My response is… don’t bet against how quick my car has become on the track. I let an instructor drive it and he texted me tonight that he knows he would be faster around the track in my car than his e46m3.

Yeah bmw performance springs and dampers, but I have a lot of other suspension mods too. Also that’s on cheap street tires (Falken FK510 tires 245 front and 255 rear, and oem bmw brake pads with f30 340mm front calipers and stock rear brakes).

When I put track tires and pads on this car it’s going to really be something!

Yes. I have mastered the toe toe rev match downshift, and am still working on the heel toe version lol

HEHEH same thing BRO. Hard to heel toe. I wear size 12 and only in my driving shoes its slightly possible. Half of feet can be used for both. I wish there was a transponder connected to my face so when I wink it blips the throttle

I don't think the 'organ pedal' design of the throttle lends itself to easy heel and toeing...

Only way I can get near it is to half and half my foot (toe) on the throttle and brake pedals. Toe on the brake and heel on the throttle I can't make work, because my heel is too close to the pivot point of the throttle plank. Still learning...a long way to go!

More track time today! Awesome day… Love the first video my buddy who is an instructor and experienced drive (over 1000hrs on Sebring Raceway) is in the E46M3. It has some mods, AA dyno tune, headers, exhaust, koni struts, eibach springs, track pads, and Indy500 tires. We went out with him in the lead and he couldn’t shake me. I was on his ass and he eventually conceded and gave me a point by and then faded away in my rear view.

My goal was always to equal the e46m3 in performance and I feel like I have done that perfectly after these laps:
