Took some pictures this morning to show off the new stance with these 255/40's. I shouldn't have listened to everyone that told me it wasn't going to work and just gone this route in the first place. And no more spacers, too.

LCI tails? My car is LCI. I'll be doing the side skirt extensions, then I'm going to be focusing on performance upgrades.

Make sure you say hi on Friday!

I know you have Saddle Brown but these M3 seats are so cheap. If I was local I would have bought them yesterday.

Yeah, those would be a good candidate for leather painting red or saddle, but I'm saving my money for more performance related things now. Thanks for the heads up!

As for the new control arms and tires, I can report that the combination of the wide tires and m3 arms makes steering crazy fun. I feel like I'm glued to the road, the canyons were a blast, til the cops showed up. Lol.

Damn, that's really disappointing to hear. I can't find a single good option to upgrade my halogen lights. Aftermarket is either ugly (Depos (IMO)) or cheap (mars/rolling gears based on your feedback), OEM is way too expensive and the final result is sometimes less than great, and a projector retrofit on the halogens seems a bit sketchy (I don't trust myself to do it properly). Am I missing anything?

Man the car looks good - would be fun to hit the canyons with your crew.

Would you clarify - forget if yours is RWD or xDrive?

The 255s look perfect. Really nice fitment.

Thanks, Tetsuo.

And it's RWD, I specifically stayed away from AWD when making my purchase.

Oops, I had thought you were pre LCI the whole time. The tint overlays made it a tad difficult to see. I will make sure to stop by on Friday for the meet!

Changed the cabin filter and installed a K&N drop-in intake filter. I also cut out the charcoal filter. Took about an hour altogether.

New charcoal cabin filter going in

Charcoal intake filter coming out.

All back together. You don't get the extra 50hp unless you put the stickers on.

Also noticed that my oil filter housing gasket is seeping slightly. That's a project for another weekend.

Got up early to go down to the wrecking yard before work. Scored a complete 3 stage intake manifold with both DISA valves out of a 2011 N51 328i. Just need a new gasket and the time to install it.

Just hit 58k miles, and I bought the AA tune, with 3IM and cat delete options. I replaced my ignition coils and oil filter housing gasket in preparation for the upcoming mods and for running the baseline dyno. My friend Andrew did the brunt of the work really, but now I know what to do for next time.

Bad news time, the lip got stuck in a grate at the bottom of an especially steep driveway. Broke it into 3 pieces, it was bound to happen. I'll make my own lip soon, but for now, running naked.

I'm going to do an oil change and a coolant flush next week, then set up the dyno appointment to get the baseline. Then, the three stage manifold and tune will go on.

Make sure the backs are sealed tight, and you can also go around the edges of the plastic lens with sealant.

Sorry about the splitter. I feel your pain. Then again, you're right, it's bound to happen on the street.

That 3IM was one of my early DIY mods. Learned a lot. Like how to curse like a sailor... Not really too bad, just get a good DIY reference, take pics, go slowly, and it will be fine. Pick up a spare crank case breather tube (the one that attaches way in back) because they become brittle with heat and age and there's a good chance it will fail when you remove the old one.
