Base audio with Logic7 speakers?

Hi, I have seen video, where BMW owner installs Logic7 tweeters and says that sound is much better.
Anyone tried this?
What about other speakers (for example door-mid speakers)?

I have base radio and have added hifi tweeter, it does improve sound quite a bit.

Installation is easy, I bought used door trim with tweeter included.

Then I bought 2 Logic 7 speakers to try. The speakers are better indeed. But there's a catch, in my 2011 E90 the front and the back speakers have different mounting frames even both of them are 4" drivers. So the fronts are a little bigger.

So I'm looking for another set but need to make sure the size fits.

I have installed tweeters, sound is much more crisp so its nice. How ever I hear some squawking noise not sure if its my mid speakers or tweeters. I think its mids so thinking to upgrade them too, but not sure if that make the sound clean.

Does Radio on HiFi system also power mid speakers? Only subs under the seat are powered by amp?

And how does base system power subs? as I understand base system has 4 channels x15W so its interesting how subs work.

As for tweeters, I have noticed that "squawking" happens only with high bass. If I reduce bass to 0 "squawking" is gone. So it seems that tweeters are trying to play bass and squawks. However I like bass too... Still sound is much better and crisp.

P.S.
I have an offer to buy logic7 from 2007 year car for 350eur (its without harman/kordan naming, is it different?). What do you think? Is it worth it? Do you think sound will be dramatically different? Also one thing to note, I drive short distances, so I wonder wont logic7 amp drain my battery much faster? I heard also that logic7 amps fail a lot?

Base system is wired as 4 channels at the deck. The front channel feeds the subs and front doors.

The issue you're hearing from your tweeters may be due to the lack of a crossover or filter to eliminate lower frequencies from the tweeters, which are only meant to play high frequencies.

Best to add a crossover or filter to achieve that, or you are likely to damage your tweeters.

As for L7 amp, I imagine that would require a fibre optic connection from the head unit, which I don't believe base cars have.
You're better off with a decent aftermarket amp, or at the very least a hifi amp.

A good condition multichannel JL amp is probably available for similar price second-hand.

Good luck!

My car (2010) has fiber optics also MULF-HIGH2, you still think after market is better and its possible to get it for similar price?
L7 system which is available comes with all wires / 13 speakers.

If you're getting all the speakers too, and don't mind installing them all (base speaker locations may be different, especially tweeters and rear speakers), then perhaps L7 is better, but I don't know.

Aftermarket just makes an easier upgrade IMO, but you'd prob still want to update your speakers to handle the power and improve the sound. Base speakers are truly awful lol

The output chips are listed in the above link.
See entry 18 (in the above link). (Class B chips)And there not that great.
A good aftermarket system will beat the L7 system easily .
If you mean class A AB or D or some variation of those(there are combo's now)
like G and H I don't think it matters that much as long as you get a quality product.
I was skeptical about class D but they sound perfectly fine.

Something interesting about those specs is at the published power the distortion is 10 percent
and the next lower published setting is .5 percent, whereas most good aftermarket amps are
at .1 sometimes .01 at rated power.

Do you know exactly what crossover do I need?
Would simple capacitor work? something like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Capacitor-8...-/263694495307

I have logic7 tweeters for my base system which already has factory capacitor 4.7uF 15V inline crossover.
It seems that both tweeters and mid-speakers are sometimes "squawks"...
Seems to sound better with settings: +8bass -4treble -2fader

But after market system would cost much more?
SWS8 ~100e x2
Mid Speaker ~30e x4
Amp ~400e
Wiring - not sure where to get the wires and how much is it.
HU coding to HIFI - no need for cleansweeper
= 720e + wires?
so it seems to be 2x more than logic7.

But logic7 system is used so it might have some issues, not like new system, so I still cant make up my mind... either stick with base system or logic7 I guess, or any other arguments?
